I juast saw where those fires in California are getting kinda close to Yucaipa where my dear friend Niki lives. I hope they can put them out before they get to where she lives.

I havent seen her on in a few days and thats what worries me.

I mean I dont want to givew the impression that the flames were right at her doorstep, but it looked like they might be 15 miles or less away. Also I heard that this fire was a confirmed arson!

hey peeps...I'm OK!

I know it's been a week but I re-injured that sciatic nerve and this is the first I've been able to sit on my boney ass to get on the puter...gawd you wouldn't believe the pain! May you never hurt your sciatic nerve!!!

David....I have a home in yucaipa at the base of san jacinto mountains...but I live full-time in Laguna. I haven't been too worried about the cabin as the fire is far enough away but it has been scary and the lives of those firemen lost (4) has devestated the surrounding communities. I am well enough to head out there tomorrow morning but have been told by neighbors that everything is A-OK.

I re-injured that damn nerve through a combination of lifting Beau in and out of the truck (he is too small to do it on his own - or too spoiled!) or while I was helping my sister move her treadmill out onto her driveway for a yard sale. Either way...it has been a bitch. I will be on-line here and there as I work through the pain with these killer drugs.

but it sucks about the sciatic nerve problem (I have a sciatic problem in my lower spine and right hip that flares up time-to-time).

I too have nerve problems between my shoulder blades so I know it's a bitch. mine is cause I'm a ho tho so I can't complain really.
