Being 6'9" has its advantages on Santa Monica Boulevard during Halloween Carnival.... although my feet hurt like a mother****er and I had to stop every once in a while to rest my feet. The funniest thing about that whole deal was.... I live in the foothills of the Hollywood Hills and to get to Santa Monica Blvd. I have to walk down the steep hill. Well, hell- I ain't gonna break my leg walking down a hill in them heels. So, I walked down in regular shoes and then put my boots on while sitting on the corner of the street. These outta control Japanese tourists decided to take pictures of me putting my boots on....... OY!!!!

I told some old bag to get bent, but then again, I'm not nice. It's innocent fun, and if you can't dig that, well, frankly, YOU'RE old. Now, anything past a senior in high school is a little weird, though.

Suze, I love your thread and I love Halloween! I'm glad you're in the spirit of the season.
No, it's gotten lame. That's what I meant. Like, arguing over Halloween? Plz.

I wasn't going to say anything but...

Seriously? Who cares if an adult wants to go trick-or-treating? And since when are holidays just for children anyway?

My neighborhood is full of a bunch of humbugs. Nobody trick-or-treats around here (except for the odd teenager - most of whom don't even bother with a costume) and nobody really bothers with decorative displays either (Christmas displays 'round here are few and far between, too). Quite frankly, if an adult showed up at my door in a costume and saying trick-or-treat, I'd have to give them props (and candy) for showing some love for All Hallow's Eve, my favorite holiday.

Incidentally, Halloween was originally a Pagan/Celtic New Year's Eve celebration anyway and all the things we associate with it have roots in the ancient traditions.

and I am a PROUD PAGAN and I LOVE MY HOLIDAY Thank you Vicky for chiming in

ps: Ive seen people excuse much WORSE behavior in the name of New Year celebrations, so I hardly think the occasional foray into neverland is really all that bad.

See, that's where I draw the line. I don't care how old you are, but if you don't bother to dress up you ain't gettin' any candy. You gotta put some effort into it, that's the whole point of trick or treating!

Oh, and Vicky, I love your avatar and sig photos!
