Default Amy Lee of Evanescence

I love the new video from Evanescence. I am not a kid either Only in my heart Checked out MTV the other day when nothing great was on tv and caught the Evanescence video "Call Me When You're Sober." They are a very interesting group. I even like the Chemical Romance videos. LOL My hubby thinks it is funny that I even like these songs. LOL

and I like some of the stuff being shown on MTV2 (Specifically on "Headbanger's Ball")

The video for the new Evanescence song "Call Me When You're Sober" is rather catchy (Though the spinning girls on the staircase are rather lame to me), Amy Lee definitely has the gothic look downPlus she is a very capable singer.

Have to buy the new Evanescence disc to compare it to their previous release "Fallen" (Amy Lee is the only band member from the "Fallen" recording lineup).

Evanescence are just a commercial copy of a group called Nightwish - they are seriously just a joke

Who the heck is Nightwish? And considering the success of Evanescence, who in fact is the joke?

right? Nightwish owns Evanescence (Not necessarily in the vocal catergory, but music wise Nightwish is better of the two.)

Dont get me wrong, Evanescence is great in their own right, But I have to agree they are an American version of the Finnish band Nightwish (And Italy's Lacuna Coil too, come to think of it.)

I wonder how Nightwish will now sound now that Tarja Turunen is no longer the singer. They (Nightwish, who has released 5 studio albums and many live recordings since their first release in 1996) could have the exposure Evanescence has, had they been on a larger mainstream label here in the US.

Here in the US, Evanscence is mainly a band liked by the younger crowd, which is sad because it has labled 'em (Unfairly I might add) as a "trendy" band.

Their 2003 release "Fallen" sold several million copies (Due in part to the videos of the songs "Going Under" & "My Immortal") but I dont see the new release even selling an amount even close to a couple of million due to the finnicky US "trend hopping" music crowds.

nope not kidding, but then, I dont have Sirius or any other Satellite Radio...

I listen to the Alternative stations, but Nightwish hasnt been played on them, not even on my public radio station which would be more inclined to play non-mainstream

My friends like Ev/Amy Lee. But it's generally agreed that they have some ****ty taste in music, although I have turned one of them into a full-fledged Cyndi fan.
