Cleveland 10/20/06 - pictures, etc

part one:

first of all, the show was AWESOME. that man is amazing. i was totally blown away by his performance. i've always respected lindsey as an artist, but this experience totally deepened my appreciation for him. i can't believe the only solo album of his i have is UTS. that will be rectified soon.

the only disappointment of the show was the crowd. i had awesome seats - second row pit - and no one around me stood up once. i mean, how can you sit down during GYOW and IKITW????? when he came up to the edge of the stage during GYOW, no one in the front row went up to the stage, so i walked around to try to get up to him, and this bitch in the front row tried to trip me!!!!!!! seriously, what a whore. she just sat there like she was watching a tennis match or something. i don't understand ... why would you take up two seats in the front row if you're just going to sit there like an a-hole all night? whatever. i took a ton of pictures (almost 200) and several videos, which i'm uploading right now.

Hi Carrie ~ I was a few rows behind you ... third row of the "regular seats" and I do recall that cluster in the middle of the pit not standing up AT ALL. Very strange.

I think I'm growing into that crotchety old woman phase

because I sat for most of the show (except GYOW and the encore) and appreciated it that others sat as well. I just enjoy staring at Lindsey, listening intently and watching his hands. Almost like slowly drinking a glass of water. (And he sure as hell is one cool drink of water!)

videos!

i have a couple more i'll upload later. i could cry for days because i lost the video for the only full song i recorded - red rover. one of my absolute faves.

the audio for trouble doesn't sync with the video (EDIT: fixed now) , and i'm trying to see if i can fix that.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, and did I say THANK YOU for the pics and vid. My seats were not nearly as good, 8th row regular seats, because I wasn't being diligent and didn't realize when tickets were going on sale. (...I lost my power in this world because I did not use it..) But I was there and it was a great show.

As for everyone not standing, I know what you're saying, but I was! And my husband, who has reminded me that he drove me there (from Buffalo) for the show on numerous occasions today, kept telling me to sit down! There were certain points, though, that I absolutely had to stand, hoot and holler! I turned around and no one was standing behind me, but at some point, it was like, screw it. People who really don't love Lindsey have no business having seats that close to the stage. I feel your pain!

Thank you again for the pics. Lindsey was f***ing awesome.

Carrie---Thanks SO much for posting the pics and videos!!

It was a great show, I was in the front row and my hands and wrists are still sore from drumming Tusk on the stage.

Got to "play" guitar during GYOW way, I'm still in shock. When he came down to me I put my hands up but froze in shock and he kinda nodded and gave me the okay so me and the lady next to me went crazy. Wonder if anyone got a pic or video of that.....

Me and my friend also kept yelling out some obscure songs too. He pointed at me and grinned when I shouted "Dancin Across The USA" after he finished Holiday Road. Hearing Johnny Stew was a treat, like others have already mentioned. I really hope someone taped the show.

The show was so wonderful, at first I was disappointed when I found out he wasn't doing the "guitar army" again but Brett, Neale, and Taku are one hell of a band. He mentioned coming back next year, I sure hope he meant it.

Once again, thanks for posting the pics. I can't take pictures at shows because I get too much into watching everything. Looking forward to seeing some other ones.

I would have pretended she DID trip me and make a huge spectacle of it. Then, went up to security and said "That lady tripped me." Then, maybe she would have been escorted out.

Your pics are sweet, they totally put mine to shame. Thank you sooooo mch for carting our conshohokens around Cleveland, and I must tell you that you are one of the funniest people I have met in recent memory. You whore.

really, i enjoyed carting all your asses around hell's half conshohocken. this was my first ledgie-meet up, and i had great fun.
