me too -- i think all of her questioning how a person could do that to a baby -- her being exceptionally upset over that particular baby -- i feel like she's either remembering something from her past or we'll find out she's carrying mcdreamy's kid. there will have to be some sort of reason for her to stay at the hospital and for there to still be a great deal of tension between addison and meredith.

you know it's not going to be just as simple as the "i've always loved you" from mcdreamy to meredith -- something else has to happen that makes their relationship either impossible or difficult.

i was a bit too -- but i'm sure the rest of the season will be superb. i have a feeling they're setting us up for some kind of major plot twist. and i really do think mcsteamy will come back -- they kept talking on the radio about a major character returning. no one else has left other than him.

at first i hated addison but i've really grown to love her. even though she cheated on mcdreamy with his best friend, i kind of feel bad about the whole hospital sex scene at the prom (even though it was incredibly hot).

Then at 9:00 they run the season premiere! I know this because when they showed scenes for next week, its the episode I just watched! Does this make sense?

I just read on Spoiler.net that Episode 2 was actually filmed first, but they decided to switch the order. However, ABC forgot to tell CTV, which would explain the mistake. From what I read, BIG things happen in the episode you guys saw. I can't wait until Thursday to see it!

I never thought about that, but that would be a great twist.

I caved and read the spoilers for episode 2 on Spoilers.net. All I'm going to say is do not miss this episode! There will be at least one great little shocker.

That was the best moment of the show, IMO! When she calmly washed them, folded them neatly, and stuck them in a ziplock bag, I couldn't wait to see what she was going to do with them. Although it wasn't too difficult to figure out, considering they've been showing previews with the panties on the bulletin board.

A thought just occurred to me. Perhaps after she first slept with McSteamy, she became pregnant and didn't know if it was McDreamy's or McSteamy's? And she had an abortion, which she feels guilty about? Just a thought.

We also know from McSteamy's visit last season that Addy was with him for a while after McDreamy left her and came to Seattle. I can't imagine they'd throw that in there, and never bring it up again. I believe we'll find out a lot more about the Addy/McDreamy/McSteamy backstory this season. The flashback from Thursday was a good start.

OMG. That's what happened. Unbelievable Even though it sounds like ABC's fault, Canadian television is always ass backwards! I think I'll tune into ABC from now on.

Has anyone else noticed that the writers of this show have a fetish for impaling people with things?

And a side note recommendation - the music playing during next week's preview and at random places throughout the last few shows (the plinky guitar & banjo, "It's in our eyes, it's how we operate...") is by a British band called Gomez - their album How We Operate is really good if anyone is searching for some new ear candy. It's acid fusion country college pop/rock. I actually bought it on a whim after seeing their video on VH1 & was pleasantly surprised.

And I TOTALLY agree. If she picks McVet, I may have to boycott the show.

Well I think it's now obvious that Addison will get knocked up & not know if it's Dreamy or Steamy's.

To reproduce either of them would just be pure sin.

No one should look that damn good.

'Grey's' stars reportedly scuffle on set
POSTED: 12:03 p.m. EDT, October 12, 2006
Adjust font size:
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Doctor doctor, give us the news. But the TV network ABC is staying mum about the reported on-set scuffle between the actors portraying Dr. McDreamy and Dr. Burke on TV's top-rated "Grey's Anatomy."

An argument between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey got physical and led to a temporary pause in production, the New York Daily News reported in its Wednesday editions.

The actors shared a heated exchange Monday about cast members delaying a scene when Washington, 43, grabbed Dempsey, 40, by the throat and shoved him, according to the newspaper.

Representatives for the actors said the two have made amends.

"Differences are inevitable," Washington's publicist, Cynthia Snyder, said in a statement. "They were aired, resolved and everyone has moved on."

Dempsey's spokeswoman echoed that sentiment: "There was an argument on set. In any close-knit family, sometimes people argue. But everybody made up and went back to work."

On-set arguments are common, said TV historian Tim Brooks, co-author of "The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows."

"Diva-like conduct is certainly not unusual," he said. "You have a lot of egos there, and you have a lot of creative people who think they're more creative than the other."

"Moonlighting," which aired from 1985 to 1989, was famous for its fighting on set, Brooks said. More recently, rumors of on-set animosity dogged ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and The WB's "Charmed."

But physical violence "is pretty unusual," he said, adding that anything that harms an actor's appearance could affect their work.

"Dr. McDreamy needs his cheekbones," Brooks said. "Real violence can lead to fictional violence that can end your job."

Now in its third season, "Grey's Anatomy" has been the No. 1 show in the Nielsen ratings for two of the new season's three weeks. The romantic medical drama centers on the personal and professional lives of surgeons and interns at the fictional Seattle Grace hospital. Besides Dempsey and Washington, the show stars Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo.

The show earned 11 Emmy nominations this year, including one for best drama, and won the prize for outstanding casting. It was also nominated for three Golden Globe awards and Oh won for best supporting actress.
