Default Great live version of Hold Me

I just put a lot of my FM live shows on iTunes. So tonight I came across a particularly good live version of Hold Me and I thought I'd share.

Fleetwood Mac Denver, CO October 15, 1982

The band sounds totally in sync this night. Stevie Lindsey and Chris are all singing very well. There is a jovial and yet almost punk feel to the song. Mick and John are really solid. And I love Lindsey's blazing, seemingly effortless guitar part at the end.

Yeah that's probably my favorite live version of the song.

The bootlegs from that era are saved by Lindsey's guitar work.

I never cared for his guitar tone on that tour. Too much echo/reverb...too "solid state" sounding distortion. No "tube (valve) warmth" to his tone.

But, he did finally manage to get the hang of "Oh Well" by then (only in comparison to earlier tours he was involved in...his versions still pale next to all other incarnations)

I dunno. Guitar wise perhaps, but his personality suits that song rather well imo. Better than what followed.
