Couldn't agree more. There are a few Wal Marts around my area, and each one is usually dirty and filled with idiots (employees and customers alike). One of the worst things they are responsible for is their health care coverage. Most Wal Mart workers have to go on some kind of public assistance through the state because their insurance offered through Wal Mart basically covers nothing.

Next time you shop there take a look at the receipt and see what kind of "special" taxes you're being charged to shop at Wal Mart as opposed to other stores.

That's what they're aiming at. They are also looking at the organic aspect of the market and lobbying lawmakers to loosen the standards on what constitutes organic food.

I'm like Homer. Wal-Mart is the best deal, but I do try to go to Target when I can because I hate WM so much. and I'm curious about your facts and the "special" taxes. enlighten me (PM if you want). I hate being in the dark.

but the closest Target is 86 miles away in Norman (Shopped there about 2 weeks ago-Nice Super Target off of I-35).

There used to be plenty of K-Mart's in Oklahoma City, but all of those stores closed when K-Mart reorganized leaving even less options in regards to shopping.

Wal-Mart has killed any competition in our area, so unless a person wants to drive over 100 miles (round-trip) Wal-Mart is the only option.
