Nowthen. Your Rhiannon.

Great so far. Must judge by ending hystrionics. Hmmm, nice and light on the "Rhiaaaaaaaanon" harmony, good, good....your voice goes very high for a guy...what you lack in kicking ability is made up for with a nice high range...
I love your "NOO-OH-OH-OHOH!"
Now come the money shots....*sidenote, I love Christine's piano here, so moody and awesome*
Here it is! You can sing soft! So lovely on the "dreams unwind" part.
Really good on all the "All the sa-hame, all the sa-hame" parts. A tad strident, but otherwise damn, damn good. And your voice has that strident quality in the high range anyways.

Wow, really good Jazzy!

Oh, and to guy above...I've been having Nightbird fantasies as well, lately. I've been "practicing" the timing as if I were singing it with someone else.
thanks chica. I've done this way better before...but after being sick I shouldn't have done it, but I just couldn't resist. strident? what's that mean? ok, I'll google. I love your play by play results. lol.

!! love the "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

that was fierce, jaz. bea arthur in my sig approves, too.
which one's the high c? but I know what you mean about the copout version...sometimes I do too. fierce is my middle name anyway.

You were really committed, especially in the "taken by, taken by the sky" and from there on. As always, I think you shine the most on the big high notes. Great attack!

I am considering Fireflies.
or, oh I don't know.
thanks. all that rasp came from the crap in my chest and nose from being sick and I shouldn't have forced, but ehhh. how can you tell Rhiannon no? you can't say no in the middle of the night...you can't stay home and give up the fight. cause I care about it...Saturday night. you like those high notes don't you...huh? yeah.

I'll heed your advice. and I think Fireflies from you would be delish.

oh! I nevah knew'd that. thanks teach.

it's part of a whole section of notes that I feel come straight through my nose. no kidding. not like nasal or anything, but there's something I can switch on and off that allows me to get to certain notes. which is why I'm reluctant to actually get that nose job I talk so much about.

don't get a nose job. Seriously. Unless You can't breath. But if it's for cosmetic your nose is great!!

I had the surgery to correct my deviated septum-don't get me wrong. I'm glad I did it. And technically it really wasn't that bad, but I watched Dr. 90210 the other day and a guy had that done. Watching that hurt my everything. Just the thought of the mallet and hammer.....

Wow! That was most excellent, Jaz. You remind me of a raspy Andy Bell. There is a really appealing pitch to your voice. I would love to hear you record that with an actual band.

who's Andy Bell and why does that name sound familiar? I'm not a moron, just lazy.

thanks! I'm not normally that Bonnie Tyler raspy. I'd love to record it with a band too. hell, I'd love to even have a band to begin with. I am pretty versatile, which is good, since I love so many different types of music.

He's the lead singer of Erasure. Great tenors are rare. Continue to nuture your talent.

BTW, raspy isn't bad in my book. I think it gives the voice a lot of character, as opposed to a voice that is technically perfect (boring, most of the time). Stevie had the rasp for many years and that was a big part of her appeal.

thank you. that's a great compliment.

and I agree with you. I'd rather be interesting and not perfect than perfect and bland. only one person can do that and I don't see myself becoming a female Jewish New Yorker with an "interesting" nose anytime soon.

I am consistently fascinated by your instrumental mimicking. it's so cool. I remember you doing that at your house and I can't remember what the song or note was, but I remember thinking wow. I love this version too. I think I'm gonna try doing the Hollywood Bowl version next.
