I am looking for help in naviagting my way around Boston as I am taking a bus to go to the show Oct 13 2006.
I need to know how far the bus station is to the venue and anything else you can think of that might be helpfull to me. I am taking the bus at 2:30 AM in the morning and I arrive at 3:15 pm on the day of the show. I catch my bus home at 12:45 am that night and head back to Canada. I want the trip to go smothly as I am travelling by myself since no one else wanted to go with me. As well if I bring a knapsack with my CD player and cd's to listen to on the bus will the venue take my bag and such? Thanks allot Matt |

Matt, just find out the address of the terminal where you get off the bus. and google map it. The theatre is at this address: 1 Hamilton Pl, Here's a link to the google map (A. is the Orpheum Theatre you want). I doesn't seem to be far provided you take the bus right into Boston: http://www.google.ca/maps?hl=en&lr=&...local&ct=title
Here's a whole list of bus terminals also using google maps. I don't think you'll have a problem again provided your on a bus that ends up right in Boston. http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&sa=...0boston&tab=wl Hope that helps. |

Assuming your coming into either north or south station, you'll have a 5-10 minute walk to the theater. You may want to cab it to avoid getting lost, and any driver will know where the Orpheum is. You should know that it's actually on Tremont Street, and Hamilton Place is just an alley off of Tremont. Also, you shouldn't have any problem bringing in your stuff. Security is pretty lax. I just saw the Raconteurs and they didn't even do a bag check. Enjoy the show!

Ya, the Orpheum is rather well known. Like the above poster said, your cabby should know where it is. Do you plan to hang around town before/after the show?

Sweet. The orpheum is right in the middle of the city, across from the famous Boston Commons/Boston Public Garden. Fanuiel Hall is also pretty close by as well. Its a fun city.

So are the posh hotels near the Orpheum. Is Liddy staying in Boston that night?

After Friday he doesn't have another show scheduled until the 20th. Anyone know where he likes to stay while he is in Boston? No, I'm not a stalker but it wouldn't suck to bump into him!

I'm thinking a Ritz Carlton. Are there more than one of those there? Oh and are you going to the show?

Does anyone know what time he's been doing soundcheck at the venues? Has anyone successfully gotten autographs either then or before/after the show? My seat is nowhere near the front row, so I'm hoping there's someone out there who can encourage me that getting an autograph isn't hopeless.
And to reiterate what someone else said, I don't think it would suck to bump into him outside his hotel either... ![]() |

He's staying at the one by the common, on Avery. It's like three blocks from the Orpheum.
