I unpacked my guitar because of this one, hehe.. haven't played in weeks. I'll probably get stuck somewhere halfway through trying to figure it out, but it's Inspiring. With a capital.

I'm making a PowerTab and GuitarPro5 tab files of To Try For The Sun (it's how I learn things myself and keep a record of it so I don't forget) and I think I'll do SUD or Not Too Late next. Gonna love trying to learn them

That was simply gorgeous! His fingerwork on the guitar is mesmerizing - sublime.

And Lindsey has this Paul Newman quality to him. The beauty he had as a young man just matured into this sexy, handsomeness that is just hard not to look at - if you are the fairer sex.

One quibble - I wish some of the songs from UTS had not gotten out before the release of this album. "Shut it Down" as one example - has been played again and again on my iPod from the "Elizabethtown" soundtrack as well as "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind"...and others. But I won't dwell on it...it's fabulous that LB has this album out!!!

I love them, great videos, especially It was you and Shut us down. I like the intimate feeling in It was you and Kristen was very good in it too.
Shut us down is a brilliant proof (for those who still don't know) of his amazing talent, and the Pearl Jam attitude of the video makes it appealing also for a large public, IMO.

Show you how (only the video) is a bit weak in the first half for me, but the second part is really nice.

Oh if you do make those tabs, please share! I got as far as "Oh it's an open tuning" and then gave up last night
Somehow it sounds easier when I watched that clip, I guess I understood the rhythm, but now, how to reproduce it...
*gulp*

I've finished To Try For The Sun if you want it. It sounds more or less right to me, but I could be wrong. You'll need PowerTab editor (which is free) or Guitar Pro 5 (which is availble for free if you know the right places to look) to view them. I'm going to do Not Too Late and then Shut Us Down, but first I need to figure out the tuning of NTL!

I don't think so, but I'm not sure what tuning it is in (apart from that it's an Open tuning, like Mari said). I'll try find out - unless anyone else already know.

The tuning shouldn't be too hard to figure out because we have a video, you can see exactly where he puts his fingers... oww, I'll probably give it a try tonight.

(Once I've done the 654680321 other things I need to do today )

Yeah. I'm thinking of tabbing SUD before NTL becuase I'll be able to figure out the tuning. I've worked out a lot of what he is playing on NTL, but I can't figure out the tuning in it that actually makes the finger positionings playable lol. I'll try get the SUD tuning this afternoon - save you some time Mari, if you're busy.

It's sent

I've got a number of other Lindsey/FM songs tabbed. For example - Come, Second Hand News, I'm So Afraid. If anyone's interested I can send the files (or links to them on some websites I've posted them on). Just ask and I can give a list.

I've got a tab of "Show You How" complete with percussion, bass and that pipe/synth thing at the end. It's great fun to just mute the guitar and play along and sing along with it Very fun song!
