But in each message is an even deeper message. I can't explain it, but he knocks my socks off. I am a big fan of 'less is more' and he did an outstanding job. I love what he is saying. I look forward to his 'rock' album, but really, this stripped down acoustic trip is just that, a very nice trip. Good job, Linds.

Now, I am as big of a fan of Stevie as I am of Lindsey, so I am still puzzled about what you mean by Chiffondemolisher. You saying you have to really be a fan of Lindsey in order to appreciate this album? I was playing it in my living room earlier and my sister was doing some college work there, and she had to put it down and just listen to the music, even though she is not particularly a Lindsey fan. She is a guitar fan though, she owns a few and plays them, but she said she really liked what she heard.
Again: I was trying to draw attention with a joke. I love Stevie as much as you do. The little truth beneath the joke is that I think alot of Onlystevielovers will be turned off by this album, like they were turned off by alot of his solowork except OOTC.

His tormented soul is still everywhere without screaming out, the unbearable lightness of being. Now I understand the title. This is a record that comes from under the skin, but it stays there. It's creepy and sunny at the same time. Trembling air due to extreme heat. I'm blown away by it but can't say how I'd rank it. This is a totally new Lindsey Buckingham although we all know him too. The CD is playing now and the flow of this album is so strong that one cannot receive it as a collection of songs. Everything is glued together without seeing transitions: these songs need eachother. I love the fact that Lindsey AGAIN puzzles me bigtime and that there are incredible gems on this record, but now I'm just impressed with the thing as a whole. I don't know if I'm happy with it. I'm still too quiet inside. I think I'll have some thinking to do about my own life.
God I cant even imagine how orgasmic that mustve been bud! congrats!

Okay, I get it. I wasn't jumping down your throat, I just didn't get the joke. I've had a rough day, let's blame it on that.

I hope they also made you pay 20 bucks for this album, otherwise I am going to be pissed.

I know, but that would have meant waiting a few days. I wanted it now.

When I get back from the US I will have about 20 copies I think.

You know what word came to mind as I was listening to the album?

Fingerspitzengefühl.

Gerald, I'm happy for you, you fellow fanatic. Just hoping to catch on with you at some point next week when we all should get the album. Then we can let out the praises and the inevitable acidpissing properly.

So is SUD really cut?
I realise it is unlikely, but if it is, have you tried listening to the album with the longer version instead of the cut one to see how the album flows?

I just received the cd. It's not my cup of tea. I do hope there is a rock cd coming out in 2007.
