The Ledge went down on I think Saturday afternoon/night - then it was up for a little bit - then went down again on Sunday. It was sad.

And while it's great that some are supporting Ledgies, it's really crappy to judge someone who isn't - we don't know everyone's life circumstances...and $6 IS a lot of money to some people...I remember my very broke days...

And yes, this is "just a website" but as for me, I enjoy talking to the people on this website, and the online interaction and discussions, the sharing of pictures and videos.

Let's not point any fingers at contributors or non-contributors. Contribute if you want to and can and don't if you don't/can't. There's no need to make this thread personal. It was meant to be a Thank You for Marty and Lisa's hard work which we all appreciate very much. Let's not lose focus of that.

nowadays I think many many Americans are either living in very broke days - or are just a sickness or something away from it. Times are hard...I'm struggling to start a savings account - but mostly I'm a paycheck to paycheck gal...

we live from paycheck to paycheck.

Trust me, one major illness and all ones life-savings will go out the window.

The bills ya thought were important (example: credit cards) will mean diddle-squat when it comes between deciding to pay bills to keep a good credit score or pay medical expenses to get the correct treatment.

You said that very well Deanna. My finances are REALLY F***ED up these days. But once I get things straightened out more, I fully intend to join the list as well.

You know what though, I'm glad I'm still among the living. Sometimes you have to look at the glass as being half full. Also, I have some great memories of things I've done the last 10 years. This is just a down period for me, that's all.

Heh...I think nowadays financial messes are much easier to come by. Sigh. I take small comfort in the fact that I am doing better than my mother - I still do have a high credit score - but I'm carrying way too much debt right now and not a big savings, and as a result I'm totally nervous.

But for now I'm ok, I have food in my fridge, a roof over my head, and my health. For those things I am grateful.
