Cool a few pics from thailand

we were on our way to the jordanian border, when we heard banging which seemed to be coming from the trunk. we stopped the car and went out to realize we were in the middle of a lebanese missiles attack. in a bizzare way, it was kinda funny.

after a 3 days journey we eventually got to Phangan island, just look how beautiful is this tiny tropical island:

there's my bungalow facing the beach

amongst my roommates were this gigantic spider

and some shameless lizards

this guy caught a huge snake that somehow left the jungle. freaky!

no, that's not me, it's an elephant.

this other elephant is trying to cause a fire in the jungle

the changes between the time i was there 2 years ago and today are very distinctive; it's now like a huge construction site. where there used to be only british and israeli backpackers, you can now find tourists from all over europe, while cozy bourgeois resorts and 7elevens are being built all over the place.

little Rita Lynn was our beach's unofficial alarm clock. if she weren't so sweet, i'd be kicking her sorry ass to Malaysia.

that's me picking coconuts.

bong lassi

*burp*

the shrooms shakes were also great.

warning: if you smoke, you could win a sweet thai baby.

i LOVE those little shrines they have all over the place, i wish i could have one of those in my porch at home, but they are too heavy to carry.

with time, i grew to like Bangkok. yes, it's messy and stinky, yet very clean, and filled with old golden shrines, and brand new ones, in the form of colossal shopping malls.

girls look, their taxis are magenta.

a t-shirts stand at the market:

(and they sound even worse)

i'd say that's a nice catch for a single day's shopping.

always fly Gulf Air, not only that they let you have a 30 kilo luggage, you also get to see the persian gulf.

Ok Tommer, welcome back and I have to ask:
does political turmoil follow you wherever you are? if so, could you please come to the US so maybe this country can kick out the Great Pretender?

alright, I got that off my chest, now commentary about your pics:

Elephant Schlong. interesting. any lower and it'd drag the ground.

That coconut climbing pic? you were thisclose to exposing butt crack. thank you for your restraint. tho I imagine you didnt much think about that when you were up there trying to harvest coconuts. Oh and I have to ask, did you drink it with lime? (put the lime in the coconut and drink the bowl up!)

I love all the pics of Thailand, except the spider one. YUCK! I hate me all spiders.

I saw a donkey with a hoo hoo like that in Africa and I didn't take his picture!

Thanks for sharing your pics. Your bungalow pics looked like paradise until the spider showed up. In Africa a big spider was on my mosquito net around my bed so I flicked him off. Wouldn't you know I woke up with a mysterious bite on my arm? :shudder:

Love the pink Toyota cabs. I have a 14 year old Toyota and it is still going strong. Those Bangok cabbies are no dummies.

Omigod the "Bad Bush" t-shirt.

What is bong lassi?

Those lizards gave me a good belly laugh.

Fantastic pics! What's in that bong drink? Hey, if it's called "bong," it's got to be good, right?

Suddenly the phrase, "hung like a horse" is meaningless now...

What's up w/ those cigs? Wild!

Those pics are awesome, minus the spider of course. Looks mean and deadly! Or I'm just a big pussy when it comes to spiders...however you want to look at it.

The only thing better than Tommer's pics are his captions. You crack me up, dude. Very cool of you to share these.

Some of them remind me of when I was in Hong Kong. Quite exotic really.
