I once had hair down the middle of my back and I looked like cousin it but it was golden red and very pretty. when I curled it, it really caught the light...
I had a pic on photobucket of me squinting in the sun with my golden red hair and I was skinny too! alas that was 20 years ago....and I havent seen skinny in 10 years
well, I finally learned how to scan (what a PAIN!) anyway, hope this comes out alright:

I guess I have a lot to learn about scanning

when my hair was very long, I went to Pro-Cuts to have it hacked off, the look on the female stylist was classic when I told her I wanted it cut short so it would be above my shoulders (Her mouth was hung wide open as if she had just dislocated her jaw), she enjoyed running her hands through my hair before it ended up on the floor.

She told me I was the only guy who'd told her that!

well, if I have the time to let it "air dry" I do, but in the mornings I don't have that luxury. I can't go to work with wet hair, and I'll be damned if I get up at 6:00 in the morning just to give my hair time to dry . But on days I'm just hangin' loose, I do air dry. It helps it stay healthy without the blow dryer and it's not as frizzy.

which leads me to why I use product. Since my hair turned curly (I say turned because 5 years ago it was as straight as a board) if I don't use some kind of leave in conditioner, and product-not only would I not be able to run a brush through it, but I would look like I have a lion's mane.

^ I agree, air drying is great, but never enough time.

My hair is very, very straight. I must use conditioner after shampoo, or I'd never get a comb through it. I've never colored or permed my hair, so it's very healthy, but it does frizz sometimes, which is way annoying. Lots of static too. I started using some Garnier Fructis crap & it seems to help a bit.

I'm due for a cut. It's been a few months. I used to keep my hair waist length in high school, but it's been between bra-strap length & just below shoulders since then.

Yeah - I fear my nose looks a little big w/ the short hair - but it'll still be big with longer hair ...I don't know why I'm on a growing my hair out kick - just am.

Your hair - so it's not that long anymore? It looks beautiful - I can't even imagine having hair that long...

I was going to complement you on your gorgeous features, Im sorry, I forgot (bad me!)

My hair is not that long now, its about shoulder length, but I prefer it longer. its just that when I get perms, I have too much hair for the perm rods so I get it cut and then it grows out...

I have another pic where my hair looks golden (not red) yet the pics were only a matter of weeks apart! its a trick of the sun I think!
here's the pic:

I slept in curlers overnight and then I had a devil of a time trying to brush it out! its pretty thick when I curl it!

Me with short hair:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

When my husband was in cosmetology school several years ago, I had him cut it super short. My first haircut in 20 years.

This is what it looked like before he cut it:

Same here also the Garnier part but I can't use that anymore (for Nestlè boycott). So my hair is definitely more and more anarchist everyday .

do we have a blushing smilie? anyway, its some darker now, if I go in the sun I still have reddish/gold highlights, but mostly it looks mousy red/ash blonde.
I still have all that hair, just shorter. And Im lazy so I prefer a wash and wear routine, but my hair is getting to be (after 30 some odd years) perm resistant so I guess Im going to have to bite the bullet and start styling with the blow dryer and curling iron. sigh.
ps: in those early pics, that wasnt a perm I slept on sponge curlers overnight to get that look! and my head was tender the next morning too! and it took forever to dry so I had to curl it when it was mostly dry first. My hair got about another 6 to 8 inches longer before I finally cut it. it was a nuisance to dry and comb and kept shedding and gumming up the vaccuum cleaner.
