Thanks!! Your review sounds like all the Amazon ones - they pretty much all say the touchpad is tricky --- other than that people seem happy with it...

I am really leaning toward a Creative -- thanks for your input!!

i hate itunes - I HATE ITUNES - but my nano is so cute and fabulous. uploading all of my files is such a phenomenal waste of time and i will never not bitch about it, but ipods really are the best thing out there.

Yea! Another non-pod-person The more I read the more I'm leaning toward a Creative - the other brands didn't seem as good and have some problems.

I'll let y'all know what I end up getting. I'm really anxious to get something so my music is in more than one place....and I can carry it with me and work-out with it and such...so soon - this week probably I'll choose.

That's on my iPod, too! The first album I put on my iPod was The Body Acoustic. As if that'll be any surprise to anyone.

So far so good - I dropped my entire PC music library in - THANKS a ton for the help getting my cds converted to MP3 - they went in no problem! I signed up for a music service other than iTunes - so now the music I buy online will be compatible w/ my mp3 player.

I played with it all last night, then had a dream about it (along with a dream about Samantha and Richard from SATC) It's my new favorite toy!!

Sorry about your iPod though, Carrie....that bites...I'm pretty sure I would have smashed it against a wall
