It's been said that between ~1956ish up to her death, Marilyn Monroe was the most photographed woman on the planet. But from 1977 to 1983, surely Stevie must hold that crown.
I have 1,140 picture of her in my Photobucket gallery (which is really awesome, wink, wink, know what I mean?). The vast majority are just Stevie. For every picture I have, there's at least ten I never bothered to save. Someone on the Seven Wonders board has a scrapbook with 26,000(!) pictures of Stevie in it. Did Stevie spend every waking minute of her life either on tour, in the studio, or in front of a cameraman? I mean, doesn't the sheer number of promotional photoshoots she participated in seem a little overblown? I'm seeing previously-unseen photographs from 30 years ago showing up almost constantly. ![]() |

Dude, I have often thought the very same thing. I have never seen so many photos of anyone. I brought this up awhile back, but...It just seems like everyone constantly wanted to take pics of her! There are millions of candids as well as photo shoots. I think the fact that she was out and about singing with more people and doing more publicity and everything probably contributed to that. I mean, she was kind of a singing ho.
Anyway, just thought I'd say I totally agree, and have thought that before, and really do think she was the most photographed. ![]()

I'm not saying that just because I like her. I literally have not ever seen as many photos of anyone. Perhaps others' photos have shown up in the press more, but for sheer volume, I'd take a bet that she was the most photographed. ![]()

i've read that it was actually Debbie Harry for part of this time period, but I don't remember when or for how long. Surely it wasn't a matter of years, but I'd bet that around the time American Gigolo/Autoamerican came out it was close. Also, Blondie was usually much bigger in Britain, so perhaps this is what the article I read was referring to. Who knows.

Right. I mean has anyone gone on searches and collected pictures of other big celebrities of the day? I'm sure there are just as much if not more pictures of them than of Stevie ![]() |

Do you guys really think there are over 26000 pics of Nancy Reagan? I hope not.

Don't missunderstand me.. I'm a fan.. but, one thing is being a fan and another is being blind.. Haven't you guys never seen ALL those Princess Diana photos during the 80s and 90s??? Well I've been following Stevie since the Tusk days.. and never seen a similar amount of pics.
It's like saying the amusement park at my neighborhood is bigger than Disneyworld. I think that even Jackie Kennedy and the Grimaldi princesses got more pics than Stevie Nicks |

she's not the most photographed woman in the world. point blank.
I'd say she's in the top 20 though. |

I'd ask a different question. Is she the most photograhed rocker/singer woman ?
I'm not sure again, since we have Madonna. Of course it's hard to find an official number. There is no a "Billboard" ranking for photos. But, as long as I remember, Madonna filled a lot of magazines and tabloids. Stevie did it also, but her reign (according to the first post of this thread) would be within 1977-1983 (or at least her top momentum). Madonna I think, would be 1984-1991, and maybe more.. |
