Give it up for Richard Tyler, folks! I squealed when they announced him. He's responsible for that stunning red number Stevie wore - Dance era....someone here is just dying to post the pic, I know it.
After seeing his reaction to that thing on the back of Vincent's dress, I said out loud, "He would have had a coronary had Angela stuck around." I squealed when Vincent got the boot. I've noticed that Heidi usually saves the loser for last, so when she went to Laura first, I was happy. Watch, now they'll change it up. I loved Kayne's dress as well! |

boy, was i wrong! i should learn not to hedge my bets on the previews.
is it just me or was this episode so boring? i mean, the most interesting part was when they announced that angela & vincent would be coming back. i was pissed because i hate them both, but i wasn't worried worried, because i knew neither of them would win. ok, so first: WHAT THE FUG WAS ANGELA WEARING??? i mean, seriously, if you can't dress yourself, you can't cut it in the friggin' fashion industry. that stupid puffy skirt with that stupid "b is for biatch" t-shirt and those STUPID galoshes? girl please! this is a professional competition, not summer camp! angela: what not to wear called, they want their participants' old wardrobes back! sweet jebus. and her design was ridiculous ... she just seems like a provincial person trying to keep up with high fashion and not knowing what to do. in earlier episodes she kept pulling the "i'm from ohio" card like that is some sort of acceptable excuse, but it's not! i mean, has she never watched television/read a magazine/read a newspaper/etc? honestly. anyway, i could go on about her. but i won't. anyway. kayne - well, as much as i love him, i am very sad to see him go ... he is so sweet. but it was time ... he just didn't match up. i mean, at the very simplest level, before you even start putting your fingerprint on your design, you need to follow the rules of the challenge. his inclusion of white just seemed like he did it out of obligation, as if he couldn't integrate the color into his design. vincent - fug. fug fug fug fug fug fug fug fug. i am so turned OFF by this guy. laura's description of him was right on - he is a legend only in his own head. his parting words - "i've been making beautiful music all my life, and i'm going to continue making beautiful music" - what is that? he is seriously not all there. i thought it was interesting how when they were in the sewing room, he said the guy at MOOD gave him too much, but when he was just talking to the camera, he said he overbought. which is it? i have a feeling it was definitely his fault. jeffrey - looks like he's fallen prey to the same vice he's accused everyone else of - doing the same thing over and over and over. YAWN, jeffrey. you're edgy, we get it! sure, being a designer is about putting your own stamp on things, but success is directly proportional to versatility, and he needs to stretch just as much as everybody does. laura - i love her. i was so worried she was going to go b/c i kept seeing that commercial with her little mini-breakdown. i am SO glad they validated her here, though. she really seems like the only one capable of being outside her comfort zone. that dress was something she never would have worn, but it worked. it wasn't stunning or interesting, but it worked and it was immaculate. i totally dig her. michael - this dude knows how to work it. his model looked fab, as always. the only misstep he's made in this entire competition was that couture dress uli - same old, same old. the judges were right about the sleeves and the necklace is dumb, but you gotta make it work, as tim says. she's totally adorable, though. i love uli. i think that's everybody ... next week's episode better be more interesting ... this one was kind of a snoozer. |

i knew that angela's return would bring you back.i agree that kayne's was better, but if you look at their bodies of work, jeffrey had a much better record. |

Am I missing something? I have never ever seen anyone wear the type of skirt Angela wears and she has worn one almost every show.
Kayne was either very very good or just so so and the inconsistency probably did him in. I'm not sure Uli will make it past next week and Laura's baby could be born by the next week the way she all of a sudden popped out. |

The judges seem to be laying the groundwork for Uli to leave next. She will do fine, though, making mumu's in Miami for the retired ladies from Jersey like Mrs. Roper.

and I totally agree with you that Jeffery should have left. but whatevs. Kayne was the best on the show...there's really no reason to watch now. I am so bored with Uli and Laura. Vincent's was a mess. Angela's looked like it belonged on a vampire movie set...it wasn't horrible, but not a cocktail dress. Michael's was cute. I expected him to win. |

jeffrey has turned wuss...if vincent mumbled about my work desk the first words to part my lips would have been "STFUP you aren't even supposed to be here!"
LIKE: LAURA MICHAEL ULI DISLIKE: JEFFREY ANGELA VINCENT KAYNE I think that they should have only kicked two, and let Kayne stay for another round. I liked the dress he did last week. ![]() |

I loved this ep!
I was actually excited about the twist. That said, I wish they would have had one of those "who do you think should come back" or "out of the elimitated designers, who would you like to see again" votes BEFORE this show, and let the audience decide. Angelea & Vincent? Ugh. I would have chosen Allison for sure, and maybe Robert or even Malin (sp) that weirdo.Laura - work it, bitch! I thought it was spectacular. Classy without being dated & dull. If I saw that dress in a store, I'd buy it in a second. So glad she won, she really deserved it this challenge.Michael - Fabulous once again. The only brave soul who used mostly white & accented with black. That model looked smokin' HOT! Love that he lined the black purse in white. Never mind that if I owned it the inside would get filthy dirty in 4 minutes - that's not the point. Oh, and Nina obviously wants to bang him. ****, Korrs probably does too. Jeffrey - So obvious that they're keeping him around to be "badass rebel who thinks he's too cool for school" guy. It was hideous. He should have gone home.Kayne - poor thing. I actually liked the dress OK, but I have to agree that he did not meet the challenge as well as the others. Still, Jeffrey's was just so much worse. Oh well. What can you do? Uli - Once again, I refer to my post from week 1: Quote:
Vincent - They give you another chance, and you give them that? Ridiculous. "I'm great at designing, it's a gift..." Yeah, whatever. Hope you get off on looking like an assh*le. Angela - They give you another chance, and you give them that? Ridiculous. She didn't honestly think that design would win, did she? Buh-bye. Again. You wanna know what I think? Well I'm gonna tell you anyway. I think they want Laura, Michael & Jeff in the final 3. And I think they've known that for a while. By keeping Uli, they can easily boot her out next week (if she theoretically does the same thing again, which you know she will) and make it so. Kayne was a bit more of a threat, so if they kept him & he did a great design, it wouldn't have been so easy. And if he made top 3, people would have gone blind at the runway show from all the sequins. Can't have that. ![]() |
