This is too funny. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. Very good work. Seems kind of odd, but Stevie I think would look older if she had short hair. I know it is up to her, but hope she keeps it long. She can always put it up if she wants a more sophisticated hairdo.

I agree, the twirls would not be the same without that flowing hair or when she rocks out, how it gets messed up, but still looks good.

I love Stevie's long hair but if she's going to do anything with it, I'd suggest something like what Diane Keaton has been doing. She looks young and vibrant dispite her actual age and I think if Stevie was going to go shorter, this would be a great look for her.

My hair is longer than probably almost every guy on here, and NO (!!!) I don't use any damned girly hair products.

Cropped hair on me makes me look like Paul McCartney, And I grew tired of hearing that crap as a kid.

As for Stevie with that cropped hair (that MacMan created-Good job), She looks good...BUT, she looks like a blonde version of my ex-fiancee, That would haunt me, severely!!!

MacMan - that's hilarious. not a bad look for Stevie (if she was a megabitch editor or business woman), but it just ain't Stevie Nicks, queen of rock. I think she needs some hairapy (hair+therapy) to cut some of the dead ends, etc., but I would die of grieving if she cut it off.

Lightbulb long hair

ill tell you all something. i had hair down to my butt. and i started gettin headaches. and i was told by my hairdresser, if you have very thick hair, the top hair from the weight will cause severe splittage. so sometimes its nice to have the long hair he said if you layer the sides and the top. like stevie's old styles.

I should have excluded hippies from my comment. Anyway...that pic of Stevie Streep is GORGEOUS but like Jazzy - I don't think it's very Stevie. She's not just a 60 year old with a head of hair, she's a rock icon and a goddess.

I LOVE Diane Keaton's hair in those pictures. It suits her so well. I wish Stevie would do SOMETHING with her hair--maybe not cut it short, but layer it, curl it, condition it at least. Long hair suits her personality, but the styles she's had post Dance have really not made her look as good as she could. The messier and less straight her hair is, the better.

Maybe something like this would work:

Absolutely. I remember someone suggested a bob cut for Stevie and I nearly snorted my Pepsi in disgust. I had a bob until I was nine, and hated it, and I've been growing it ever since and it's to my waist now .... apart from that, I really don't think short hair would suit her. At all.
Stevie's never been one to follow conventional ideas ... she's not like other people, after all, she does what she wants to....

I think Stevie will always have long hair. If it starts looking too bad as she gets older, she can always put it up in her "poodle bun" - a la Sara during the Tusk era. That is kinda a granny look anyway.

The 80's hair styles was my favorite,HBO special, I love Stevie's hair on that show.It was so cute. I wonder what she look like now with it.As again some woman look cute with short hair, and some don't. Stevie would not have a problem because she has a naturally attractive face to go with any hair styles.
personaly I love her with her long hair styles.

Hey, if Lindsey released (or is going to release) an album, then stevie is DEFFINITELY going to release at least 2 other albums...

I honestly don't believe Stevie will ever cut her hair. As she gets older, she may wear it up but I don't she's ever cuttin' it!

Judy Collins is at least Stevie's age if not older and has beautiful, long silver grey hair that looks amazingly good on her.
