Kind of odd isn't it? She is not listed at the Hollywood Bowl show either. I guess they want to keep the surprise element. |

I tried the presale and regular on sale for my San Diego show. I pulled NOTHING in the orchestra (and the Coors orchestra is quite large), so I'm going to play the waiting game. I hate ticketmaster. ![]() |

I wonder why they decided not to come back to MA. As far as I know they sold out the first time they came there. I was hoping to see him!

The more I think about this, I really do think this is Tom's Swan Song. Reports everywehre are saying this is his greatest hits tour with one swing across the country to celebrate 30 years of fantastic music. Stevie doesn't want to take one ounce glory away from him and I think that is why they are keeping this kinda low-key in some parts of the country. It isn't the Stevie + Don tour of last year or the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour of last year. This is a Tom Petty tour with Stevie coming out to share his music when she can.
At the risk of having my ass kicked, when it was announced that a few more dates would be added, I begged, pleaded, cried, offered sex ( ) anything just to get odds for it happening in Dallas. I was told 99/1. So, don't be surprised if she doesn't show up in promos and if it isn't talked about much. In fact, I'm not telling the person I'm taking that She is going to be there. I like the surprise and the amount of class that Stevie has in showing Tom just how much she loves and respects him.Patty |

Frankly, I think Stevie is embarassingly submissive like with Tom, Lindsey, etc. Give me a break. I'd rather sit out the whole show than watch Stevie sing only back up for Petty.

I'd like to know as well - especially since the announcement I posted specifically stated that she WOULD be there.
http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showpo...&postcount=168 If she's not and they only made that announcement as a ploy to boost ticket sales (not that Tom should need to or have to), well, that's just sh*tty!! |

Are you absolutely, positively sure?!? 'Cuz I don't wanna cough up a billion dollars on my credit card for scalper tickets only to get there and Stevie not be performing. I was gonna go see Tom anyway, but now "great-seat-ticket-urgency" comes into play. Please confirm that there is 100% no doubt that Stevie will be there ASAP!!! (Sorry, I'm freaking out now )

Yeah, The Strokes are the opening band. Maybe the ad didn't mention Stevie because she doesn't have her own set.
Or maybe the press lied to everyone in the article I posted?? Or, like the NicksFix says, they are still trying to figure out which shows she will be able to attend, and then make an official announcement. Believe me, I understand everyone's impatience (mine as well), but at this point, what choice do we have? At the St. Louis show, I talked to MANY people who had no clue Stevie was going to be there until it was announced on the radio THAT day. Despite the numerous articles in the press, and the NicksFix, confirming that she woud definitely be at the first 8 shows. Last edited by Livia; 07-24-2006 at 05:47 PM.. |
