The Tristan Chord and Stevie Nicks

I've been thinking about the links between the Tristan chord & Stevie Nicks. Obviously, Stevie has never used such a chord in her music, so any sort of relationship between the two must be thematic or contextual. Actually, maybe any such relationship would be religious--or for us nonbelievers, a metaphor of transcendence & mysticism.

Do any of Stevie's song "characters" capture the mysticism of the chord? I think maybe the sister of the moon does, or the woman "thrown up through the arms of sleep" in "The Nightmare."

David, many of your posts make the music theory part of my brain work harder than it usually does (at least anymore), and I love it.

I think that if silent films were made about rhiannon, the SOTM, and sara, the organis would use the tristan chord upon their entrance.

my favorite italian foods are pizza (of course ... although i've never had true italian pizza), gnocchi, manacotti ... actually, i like just about anything italian except for seafood-related stuff.

I think the little piano chords in edge the re-occur, as example after "he ws no more than a baby than" are kinda cool and haunting. not sure if stevie wrote them, tho.
As 4 italian food, I love lasagna and eggplant parmesan!!
