Can anyone get a confirmation on this?!!!!!!!

I emailed John Kinney about this and he said he was trying to get confirmation. Then on Nicksfix this morning:

Watch for Stevie's special performance on an upcoming VH1's Divas Live.

Exclamation Cool...

Now that it's confirmed that Stevie's going to be on this i'll have to watch for sure. Hmmmm, now i have an incentive to enter that contest to win free tickets to the show! i think it's a pretty cool recognition for Stevie, and i'm glad to be seeing Stevie on anything. And this is kind of an early promotion for the new FM album too in a way, so that's cool in my book. No doubt the Divas Live show will benefit from some "Stevie-ness" , and she'll rock like she always does.

*edited because Pip beat me to it

Talking

....well...you know...I couldn't be more happy...it's really not like Stevie to be on something like this, so I really do hope it's true..but it's great...She'll socialize with types we Never see her with!!

Stevie's too humble to be a Diva as they are, but she's one in her own right, and it's about time she be recognized!! If Sheryl goes on fine, but probably not because VH1 made Stevie ask her...hehe...but I guess you never know

I want to second the nomination for At Last...I've been dying for her to perform it again, and this would be the type of show to do it at...It's soo powerful and her voice is so "Diva-like" when she does it, so I think it'd be perfect...and then she can REALLY show them how it's done!

Exclamation Hmmm.....

I agree with everyone who thinks it's cool , but wierd at the same time , because when I think of Divas Live, I think female singers who are up there trying to outsing each other, you know the whole "loooo-oooooo--oooooooo--oooooooooo---veeeeee!!!" Stretching out a one syllable word for like an HOUR! LOL That is what Aretha, Celine, Mariah, etc, were doing on one of those shows, trying to outdo. Stevie does NOT sing like that, she's got her own way of doing stuff, like the GDW and Edge growling, quivering thingy she does! LOL So, this will be veddy interestink!

Now what I don't mind seeing (but I doubt VH1 has sense enough to try something bold)...is Stevie and Mary J! Wooodawg! Talk about something good. I think the Chicks are a decent idea..and maybe even Cher...but...why not get some new blood on that stage? Everyone but Stevie, Shakari and I think the Chicks have been on at least one Diva's if not more.
I still think Stevie and Mary J should do something wicked like No More Drama or Family Affair (is that her song the up beat tempoed one?) Or...At Last...I think they could kick ass on that one.
Ok sorry Im so opinionated today...must be hormones?
Boy, did I have a good laugh earlier this morning about what you said about Celine! ITA; it's not hormones! (LOL)

I saw the promo for Divas Live, but didn't see that Stevie was going to be on this. I just groaned when they showed Celine, & I'm thinking, I'm not watching this. Then this morning I got on nicksfix.com before I came here, & they said that Stevie was going to be on. Now I've got to watch this. I don't really think of Stevie as a diva. I know there has been a discussion about who a diva is on here before. When I think of a diva, I think of Diana Ross, definitely Celine, maybe Mariah Carey, probably Whitney Houston, not Cher, not Aretha Franklin & definitely not Stevie. So I've got mixed feelings about seeing Stevie on this type of show. I'm glad I'll get to see her, but if she does a duet with Celine, I will become ill!

Thumbs up Ok, Cher's definition of a diva.

VH1: What does it mean to you to be a diva?

Cher: Someone asked me on the red carpet at VH1 Divas Live 1999, "What does the word 'diva' mean?" I said, "Well, I think of it like an opera star. You think of those people as divas." He said, "What do you think about modern-day women who call themselves divas?" I said, "Well, they are like singing bitches that you can't get along with. I don't want to be one". He said, "Well, why are you doing this show?" Because that's the name of the show? It's just a bunch of girls getting together & singing. The idea that you're a diva just doesn't fit.

You go Cher!

It was weird like one miuate i was thinking hey woundnt it be great if stevie was on that divas live thing and then I tun on the tube and all i hear is " and stevie Nicks and then wayne newton says some dumb thing. and i comletly spazzed and people gave me **** cause they always do about my ummm..healthy obsrsion with stevie/mac. While anyways I went to the VH1 sight and was like OMG! how can they put stevie on the same caliber as some of the so called "Diva's" yea cher personality wise is a diva bt shes so annoying and untalented hey mabey sheill lipsinc song for the lonley like she did for believe a few years back. Celine is just the spaun of the devil but I hope Ana Gayster from SNl will come on the show and make do her impression, ahh that would be great. Shakira has had one big single and one that was kinda ignored how the hell is She a Diva well she does have one thing the big Diana Ross Hair. the dixie chicks yea their kinda fun to watch but Divas? I think not. Anastasia i dont know alot about her other than that she once preformed saturday nights alright for fighting with Elton John and that she is really really HOT!!!!. Well and then theirs Stevie who will without a doubt steal the show even if they only let her duet with Natalie on too far from texas and mabey let her do something to get the croud going by herself like Stand Back, or EO17 or one of her fast moving sig. songs. anyways I cant wait to see stevie preform I saw her sing sorcer with cheryl on her vh1 concert and that was pretty good so the way things have been going for Stevie she should be totally awesome and this will definatley help to promte the new mac album/tour.

You guys are totally cracking me up, here!

I have to admit, I am getting sort of excited about this -

C'mon Stevie......ROCK their ASSES!

I know she can do it! I'm really pulling for her, because if she is gonna do it, then she might as well rock the house!

I can put my two cents on this.

I'm glad Stevie its doing this. I want you all to remember that this concert its for a good cause (Saving the Music) and it doesnt matter if Stevie its a headliner or a guest, the important thing is that we are gonna see Stevie on tv. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I just want her to wear some new, really cool, totally hot outfit. Thats all I ask of the night.......LMAO. She could sing Mary Had Little Lamb, as long as she is in a freaking brand new outfit that NO ONE has ever seen before.

I agree with you Kristin.

It is going to be an interesting show! I am looking forward to it though with mixed feelings.

Anyway, I'm guessing she will probably collaborate with the Dixie Chicks.. they just seem the logical choice.

I say that she'll pair up with the Chicks, and sing Too Far From Texas with Natalie Maines....that is like, well, kinda obvious.....and I think they'll have her do one song, just her.....a rocker......either Fall From Grace, Stand Back, or Edge of 17.
And I just feel a different outfit coming on.....it has to be......or maybe it's just wishful thinking!! LOL
Those are my predictions!!!

Cool I think she shoul wear...

a sexy red dress. Now THAT would be a shocker. LOL

I want it to ask you guys, if VH1 ever get a clue (lol) and decides to make a Rock Divas Live. Who do you think they should invite?

I will hope for:

1. Stevie Nicks (of course)
2. Ann & Nancy Wilson
3. Pat Benatar
4. Sheryl Crow
5. Alanis Morissette
6. Sarah Mclachlan (Umm dont know if I wrote that right)

Well, this are my choices, at least the ones I remember anyway.

What are yours?

Isabel
