Default I made it and other stuff.

I made it to Colorado.

Well I still don't have my computer - or any of my furniture. SO I'm limited to my work computer - and I'm still too new to frequent the Ledge at work

I'm actually quite pissed that I don't have my stuff yet as it was supposed to be delivered a week ago, then they said it would be delivered today -then this morning I got a call that the delivery has been delayed to Friday I have been rounds with their national headquarters but have gotten nowhere.

In other news - I totalled my car .

It was a rather ugly accident - and it really is a miracle that all parties walked away with only minor injuries. I only had a scrath across my neck and some bruising on my chest and knees - otherwise I'm fine. I got the word this morning that my car is, indeed, a total loss. It's gone So now I'm in the market for a new car...totally not what I wanted at this point - I was six months away from paying mine off and I was so excited to take the car payment money and put it into Mr. Credit Card. Now that won't happen. Damn.

I did start my new job and today was my first day on the air...haven't screwed up too too bad yet - only said the wrong station name once...otherwise things are going well.

So I'm trying very hard to stay positive - but I feel like I just keep getting bad news and bad events since moving here...yikes. Hope it's not an omen - I really like it here so far!

Hopefully when I get my home computer I'll be able to get back on here more often. Hope you are all well!

Wow, Deanna, sounds like you've been through a lot! I'm glad you're OK after your accident! I was just wondering the other day if you'd made it there yet. Keep us updated on your furniture situation! Where in Colorado are you?

Glad you made it. I don't think your bad luck has much meaning - you moved over a holiday-ish time, mercury just went retrograde (pertaining to your stuff not being delivered), and when you have to move long distances you tend to be frazzled, and not on your top game, which can sometimes cause problems. Thank goodness you came out of the accident. Hopefully you will find a good deal on a car. It will be a good fresh start. From all accounts, Colorado is fricking awesome.

Have some Golden Grahams and relax.

(((HUGS))) It's going to be OK. While frustrating, the furniture will eventually make it. It's a blessing you came out of the wreck. Once you have all your "stuff" in place, things will look up for you.

Hey Deanna, look on the bright side, you came out alive, you still have your health, and it looks like you are enjoying your new job and your new environment. That's awesome. The car sitch will work itself out, you'll find something affordable, trust me.

Glad to see you made it. You were missed!

Wow, I am so glad you are okay after that accident. That really sucks about the car though. But you could wind up with a car you like better. Plus, depending on how much insurance money you get, you might not have a car payment anyway. Regarding your stuff, you probably have too much stuff anyway. Just kidding, that really sucks too. They better get it there ASAP or else!

Thanks guys

I really am staying positive and reminding myself constantly about how much I have to be thankful for. I just had a small run of bad luck - things seem to be looking up now.

Ok - aside from the fact that last night (my second day on the air) I accidentally erased the show that airs a 7pm My boss was really really cool about it, and no one yelled or was mad...and really it was an easy mistake to make - I just got cocky and tried to do something without my notes. Won't be doing THAT again.

Anyway - my car. It is definitely totalled. But thankfully I have amaznig insurance and they're already cutting me a check for the value of the car. Minus what I still owe the bank and my deductible I will get close to $3,000. So that is enough for a significant downpayment on a new car....or I'll put it all on the credit card I used to fund me move

Also - the movers claim my stuff is getting here tomorrow. This time I'm a bit more optimistic because the driver was actually contacted (a first during this move) and he says he'll be here tomorrow! I hope that's true - I miss my couch, bed and computer - and my 9 seasons of Little House on the Prairie

Yay! Things are looking up. Not a bad amount for the car, not bad at all.
