I like it better out in the open.

More fun that way.

Street Angel is prime example of numbness resulting from only recently giving up drugs. What the hell's her excuse now?

That's what got George Michael into trouble.

Actually, 'Street Angel' was recorded while she was still on the Klonopin.
She had kicked it by the time the album was released though.

Hey now... I don't do things that publicly. I don't go flashing people in restrooms...

Only because I've never met anyone there that I wanted to flash.

Oh, forgive my blunder.

So yeah... she was still drugged out when she made that one. What was her excuse for TISL?

I don't think she needs an "excuse" for 'TISL,' because I'm crazy about that album. I was listening to it again the other day in my aunt's car, as a matter of fact, and thinking how well it captured so many of the sides of Stevie that I'm captivated by.

To each his or her own though.

Well... not only do I not like the way she sounds on the album, I'm also not at all fond of her choices for collaborative partners.

I can't stand Natalie Maines or Macy Gray. Two of the worst singing voices in all of music, IMO.

Yeah, well I listened to it last night for the first time in years and, between frequent episodes cringing and gritting my teeth, I could only wonder how someone who used to be so great could release something so utterly horrible.

I actually kinda liked 'Saturday Night Special' (I think that's what it was called), in that so-bad-it's-good, b-movie kinda way.
