Unhappy New Cars/Blondie Concert Cancelled

Just in case there are some Ledgies here going to this concert tomorrow night at the Borgata, I thought I'd let you know that it's been cancelled. Here's what I just read in our local newspaper:

"Saturday's New Cars/Blondie concert at Borgara has been scrapped. Original Cars member Elliot Easton broke his left clavicle after he fell out of his bunk on the band's tour bus, which had swerved to avoid a crash. Refund details are available at the point of purchase." The News Journal

Yeah, they announced it last week. I was supposed to go, but no, they HAVE to play with the New Cars. PSH.

Ocasek = The Cars. It's just a fact.

I believe it's only two of the original members (one who now has a broken clavicle apparently), neither of them being Ric Okasek

Well, there are a few of them in there. Including -_- Easton -_-. But Todd Rundgren replaced him (Ocasek) in this whole "New Cars" thing. And really, you can't have the Cars without Ric Ocasek, in my opinion at least. So I think it's kinda lame they're trying to pass this lot off as the Cars. I mean, that's like having Cheap Trick without Robin Zander. It's just wrong, dammit!

I saw them when I was in high school, the Candy-0 tour in 1979 ..I think I would have to be paid to sit through a Cars concert in their current configuration. Can't Debs and co. just play without them?
