Jellies are an abomination. They were horrible in the 80's and they're horrible now. If they are supposedly "in" again, please tell me that hair crimping, shoulder pads, those big wide white and/or gold belts and silvery-white cum lipstick are NOT back "in style" as well.

For me, it's just the whole dumbening down of class. People like Britney are almost making it acceptable for women to walk around dressed like white trash and flip flops are just part of that long, slow descent into tra****ude.

Jazzy,
Stealing lunches out of the work fridge is just plain ruthless!

Tower,
Just wait, all that stuff you mentioned is right around the corner---I predict all that horribly fugly **** will again make it's way back into fashion.

Well, I'm not tall, not short, I'm about 15 or so pounds overweight, I dye my hair pink, I wear raccoon eyemakeup, and my friend and I are calling our ska band "Fancy the Tacky." I got y'all beat.

Okay, but why should I wear nice clothes to ride my bike around and go to the grocery store? Or to walk around ScruBerkeley? Or Oakhomelessland?

Well, it isn't really about that kind of thing. I having nothing against slobby/comfy stuff where it's appropriate. The concept that flip-flops have moved into the realm of acceptable footwear in restaurants or acceptable as an accompaniment to any kind of "going out" outfits and/or more formal dress is ludicrous.

Fer chrissakes, I've seen pictures of people wearing them in their wedding photos.
