Oh, I forgot about the no fat people rule at the beach and the pool. Thank god for that. We wouldn't want them to be allowed to swim with the rest of us.

There's a difference between things that are tacky and things that are unpleasant to some.

Label whores
Tissue box cozies
You're right, tissue box cozies are the height of tack. Toaster cozies too.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but I just thought of someting I find very tacky. People who walk up to a cashier (ANYwhere) while talking on their cell phone. And can't stop their conversation for a minute to acknowledge the person in front of them. For that matter, the freaking hand-free cellphones that make you look like you're talking to yourself OR the person standing in front of you. SO tacky.

By the way, though-between this thread and the "overused sayings" thread, I've come to the conclusion that at east 90% of Ledgies would not like me in real life. I wear flip flops all the time, I think frech pedicures, capris and gauchos are cute, I say "whatever" and "you know" all the time...I think that's it.

That is the exact conclusion I came to...oh well...

Screw it, lets talk about lesbian porn!

try being on the subway in NYC when a child puts her chewed up chicken bone on your leg. yeah, it happened to me. the mother realized what she had done just as I was about to knock it off with somethin (I sure as hell wasn't using my hand) and said "he don't want that. sorry" and then proceeded to pick it up and give it back to her and she chewed away.

Awww..come on guys, it's a child not a leper!

I'm just sayin'. Although I still think that's nasty - it's less gross than a grown person chewing on something and trying to hand it to you

Here's tacky - or just plain gross:

I was in line at an ice cream place - there was a family in front of us - the kid (maybe 7 or 8) stuck his tongue on the glass ice cream window thing - and walked the length of it WITH HIS TONGUE ON IT!!!!! His parents said nothing - I left. SO gross.

The little ones can carry bacteria, too. Don't let their wee-ness fool you. But seriously, the combination of a stranger's (big or small) saliva and a chicken leg touching my bare leg would send me into shivers.

Well, I don't think it's a matter of caring- we're just stating things we think are tacky.

I'm sorry Paula, but that is a personal attack on my grandmother. I have to draw the line somewhere

Hell yeah. We all love the Dollar store and you can't get much tackier then that.

hell yes. i refuse to wait on people who are talking on cell phones - i won't even walk over to them. i wait on them once they're finished.

it always amazes me how rude people are to people who are making/delivering their food. grr.
