Here are my pics!!
http://community.webshots.com/user/wondergirl9847 Wow. What a weekend! Where to begin. Well, the reason (as if ya'll didn't already know. LOL) for my going up there was to go to a party that Justin Guarini would be attending. It was an event to raise funds for a movie Justin will be in, playing a doctor. Mafioso II: The Son produced by Sal Mazzotta. He is a very nice guy. Justin sang some songs (Brown-Eyed Girl, Soul Man, Unchained Melody, Get Ready, Mony Mony), signed autographs, posed for pics, mingled, danced with fans and his mom...and just had a blast. He is amazing. Can't say it enough. His next album should be out at the end of the summer with a single or two out very soon. He signed my CD cover for his jazz album and a picture of the two of us from Beaumont. I'll try to get a picture of those two things and post them. I hugged him and got a couple of pictures with him. His parents are two of the nicest, kindest people I've ever met. I had not had a chance to talk to his step-dad all night, but when we went to leave, he turned around and hugged me and said "Thank you so much for coming! We appreciate you all." Awww! I got a pic with Justin's mom too. It was one of the most fun nights of my life. Over the next couple of days, me and some other ladies from the Justin board saw some great sites, including the Museum of Art (where the infamous Rocky steps are located), the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, took the trolley around town, shopped at the Reading Terminal Market, went to Penn's Landing, saw Chinatown, the Betsy Ross home, ate at the historic City Tavern and saw the house where they filmed some of the Sixth Sense. Philly is an amazingly gorgeous city, with beautiful landscaping and the houses are wonderful. City Hall literally made me gasp when I first saw it...the architecture is spectacular! We ate Genos cheesesteaks too. Shopped at The Bourse and at a great lil craft/arts/jewelry fair near South Street. I developed a crush on one of our trolley guides....who eerily reminded me of Lindsey. I wish I got a picture of him, but ah well...maybe in September when I go back up there for the Justin concert. Most certainly, a weekend I'll never forget. ![]()

Oh most definitely! I am going to print it out as an 8x10 and get a great frame for it.
BTW...it's my desktop right now. ![]() Suze...we didn't get to go into the place where the Liberty Bell was...I just took that shot from the street. I did get a cute lil Libery Bell keychain though. Heh.

Wow ~ what a trip. You look like you are having a blast. That's neat that you were able to experience on of your favorite performers so up close and personal. Thanks for posting.

Hey, Christy! Ignore the PM I just sent you. I didn't see this thread!
Glad you had a good time in Philly. You took some great pictures and had wonderful weather! I'm glad you enjoyed the City. It gets a bad rap sometimes, so it's always nice to hear what tourists think, esp if it's good! They just had a fire in City Hall last week, and they announced today it'll cost taxpayers $2 million to clean/repair. Yikes! Looks like the Justin party was a blast. He seems like a very cool person. Again, glad you had a good trip. Carol

Christy, glad you had a good time in Philly. Thanks for the pictures link. They are very good. And thanks for the pictures of Justin. So just curious, what type of album is he releasing at the end of the summer? Will it be jazz or something different?

The next album is going to be R&B, funk, soul, with a lil bit of hip hop he told us. He wants to have some stuff he's written on there as well. When he was talking to us, he said he wanted to talk about issues important to him like women's empowerment and things of that sort. Awesome, huh?! Also, he goes "I'd like to do something deeper than the 'oh, baby, baby' stuff." LOL Not that there's anything wrong with that, he just wants to put his heart and soul into this next album.
The jazz album was probably a one-off sort of thing. He loves jazz (Harry Connick Jr. is one of his faves, he loves Sinatra too, etc.) and that was something from his heart as well. Anyone interested should go to www.justinguarini.com to hear the jazz cuts and you can order the album if you would like. Also, check out his other more personal page with blogs and photos at : http://web.mac.com/jguarini/iWeb/jus...d%20More!.html There are some AMAZING photos he's taken on his various trips and stuff. ![]() See, when you get me started on my fave artists...I can't shut up about them. LOL I need to work in the promotions department for my faves, don't I? ![]()
