Default Arsenal v Barcelona

Will our favourite Arsenal fan be celebrating or drowning his sorrows tonight?

The final of the Champions League, Europe's premier club competition takes place in the Stade de France, Paris this evening between Arsenal and Barcelona.

I'm sure John will find a tv channel showing the game.

Come on you Gooners!

Gail

Should be in chit-chat.......
but Barcelona deserves to win. They play the most beautiful football in the world right now.

I can live with a win for the gunners, but only if Dennis Bergkamp scores the decisive goal in his own special way, so he can end his incredible career with a prize he, and only he, deserves based on his contribution to the sport (read: art).

I thought this should be in Chit Chat too, but anyway:
this is the first time in my life I 'm going to support Arsenal (I have never been a Barcelona or Arsenal fan) and yes, one of the reasons is Dennis Bergkamp, one of my favorite players ever!

This discussion is way irrelervant to the Rumours board, but I don't think that Barcelona plays far better football than Arsenal. Arsenal is a very "aggresive" team and totally deserves to be in the final, this year at least. Barcelona would not have been there if the referee hadn't made a huge mistake with Shevchenko's goal in the second semifinal against Milan.
My two cents.

I put this here because John is an Arsenal fan but I suppose it could have gone in Chit chat.

I'm rooting for Arsenal because of Dennis Bergkamp, but I wouldn't mind it if Barcelona won either. Which is good, it's a very relaxing way to watch a football game, if you don't care about the outcome. lol.

Three weeks from now, I will be in hell.

I thought you were talking about two films:
Dovzhenko's Arsenal & Whit Sillman's Barcelona, both of which I quite love.

Unlucky Mr McVie,

Pity im a United fan and was glad to see the Gunners fall to the hands of the mighty Barcelona.
I wonder did John get to watch it, and what he thought of the disallowed goal.

(Can that be one of my questions for him the next time he visits)

Arsene Wenger is a loser. If you don't put Bergkamp in for the last 20 minutes, you don't deserve it. After all the guy did for his trainer all these years.....

What the ....., we rule.
With Marc, Gio and Frank, tata.
Let's go East, Germany. Orange smiles. We're picking up what we've lost in 1974 or 1978.

Finally, it's time to pay the fiddler!!!!!!
