^ We have Taste of Buffalo here every July. From the looks of your list, I eat about as much as you my friend.

I love it, it's one of my favorite events here every summer.

As gldstwmn can attest - I was sucker puched by some drunk c*nt at the final, May Vegas show. Goldie and I had like second row aisle seats and just walked up to the stage at the right time. Then came the slam of the people behind us. This one chick was so pissed because I am so tall, she punched me in my kidneys. I almost hit her back but then came to my senses. After I escorted Goldie back to out second row seat, which I believe we moved people out of, I was so freaked out, I went to the top of the section for awhile. I mean get a grip people.

I'm glad I've never had this type of experience. Of course, I've only been to two Stevie concerts, but I wandered down to the front during "Edge of Seventeen" at the Atlanta TISL show, and everybody was very well-behaved. I shook Stevie's hand without any pushing or anything. But then again, this was a Chastain Amphitheatre crowd - lots of yuppies with season tickets who probably just go to every event there, regardless of who's playing, so there were a lot of folks there who weren't exactly big fans. Most people sat throughout the entire show, and I was pretty disappointed in the audience energy level. Still a decent concert, though.

(Also, I know some of you are fans of the Stevie cleavage, but I gotta say, I was kind of frightened by the up-close look I got at it. Those babies were squeezed into that dress way too tight, and it did not look all that flattering from five feet away.)

At the Chastain concert (which I also attended - the one before 9/11 ) - she was way heavier than she was at the beginning of the tour. I remember thinking she looked like a sausage in too tight a casing and that the steroids used to deswell her chords (presuming she took them) caused her body to swell up. Then, I saw the boobs and was like - LORD CHILD - THAT MUST ME JELLO CUZ JAM SURE DON'T SHAKE THAT DAT!

BTW - we were in the handicap section!

Swelled sausage is a good way to describe it. Plus, they were so pale, and with whatever kind of powder or make-up she put on them they looked kind of cake-y, and you could practically see the veins in them, and yuck. I think that day is when I stopped thinking Stevie was very hot anymore.

We were in the middle toward the back of the floor seating area. At one point, we actually just left our seats and went and stood at the back of the floor area, because we wanted to stand but felt rude doing it in the middle of the crowd while everybody else was being a stupid nerd and sitting.

I know - the Chastain crowd is a weak crowd IMO.

What sucks is the handicap people are not on risers at all. They are just flanking those side concession stands. So, they have to look at a monitor if the five rows in front of them stand, which they did.

Chastain sucks.

Sounds like a great crowd for the Edge rush. I'm imagining people just politely standing there with big smiles on their faces actually helping people up to the front of the stage instead of elbowing them to the floor

I am smart enough not to start a fight in that arena esp. I mean jail in Vegas is not my deal

Fortunately, I think the stage security saw that this chick was hitting me - so maybe they would have arrested her and not me. But, I was not about to find that out

This very thing happened to my husband at one of the SYW shows (it was the one where I met you!). Actually, we weren't even trying to get to the front of the stage, it was after the show and we were LEAVING. This girl, I guess thought that we weren't moving fast enought so she proceeded to shove my husband up the steps with her elbow in his back! He said some words to her, but I was thinking, man, the nerve of some people! I wanted to shove her down face first.

I know - that urge is HARD to resist!!!!!!!!

I have gotten to the point where I want to be in a private box with a private entrance to the event.

You laugh, but you're really not that far off.

Remember, I was toward the back of the floor area. I didn't even move until after "Edge" had already started, but when I saw some people crowding toward the front, I figured, what the heck, I'll mosey on down. And mosey I did, and just walked right up and got close enough for a handshake. No fuss, no muss, no kindey punches.
