I thought about that too, but after further review I do NOT want Taylor butchering anything from Rumours.

I think me MIGHT have the enthusiasm for GYOW. I could see him potentially doing that song.

Simon kept saying exactly what I was thinking...and what on EARTH was Taylor doing at the end of Play That Funky Music...? He looked like a dying cockroach!

Top 2 - Chris and Kat
Bottom 2 - Elliott and Taylor

Taylor - gross...sick of him...leave now please.

Katharine - first performance sucked ass. second one was ok, much more her element.

Paris - I really saw Paris' weaknesses this week, but she did ok.

Chris - nice performance of both songs, tho the second he strained way too much.

Elliot - I thought he did a good job with both songs

I think I like Mariah's version better than anyone else's...even the original.

hehe.. well you know you aren't going to be getting any arguments from me!

interesting side note.. Mariah re-recorded her vocals for that song and made it into a duet with UK boy band Westlife (which would become a #1 in the UK).. Simon actually co-produced that song, or over looked Westlife's part in it. AND Randy played on the song I believe (but he usually plays in Mariah's band anyway)

the only reason I know this is because I love Westlife. I know, I know, but I do.

I actually have never heard anything that they have put out! EXCEPT of course for the duet with Mariah! Which I do like.. great harmonies!

And they also performed a medley of Never Too Far/Hero with her on an award show in the UK in early 2002

Chris was definitely the best. I didn't hear THAT much strain on his vocals---I think Simon made too much of it.

Katherine butchered Against All Odds, I was seriously cringing it was so bad. Her second song was okay, but all in all I thought her two performances were pretty bland and boring.

Elliott was good as usual. I liked his second song better. Never liked that "On Broadway" song anyway.

I still like Taylor's voice, but yes, his schtick is played. And could he please stop saying "soul patrol?" What does that even mean anyway?

I thought Paris did a good job with "Kiss," but then again it's hard to go wrong with Prince .
