Thanks for posting that Tiff. I was wondering what she was up to upon her return from Aus/NZ so it's nice to hear from her. Sounds like she's relaxing and taking the time to answer some of our questions on her site. Good news to hear she's not totally opposed to doing another solo album like she said a couple of months ago but who knows how long "somewhere down the line" will mean and if it will be new, unreleased material so I'm not getting too excited over here.

In response to her statement about myspace being evil, I guess that means she doesn't frequent Jessie's page too often . And IMO myspace CAN be evil! But seriously she is from a different generation so I'm not totally surprised by her statement. I'd love to sit down with her and show her all the "Stevies" on myspace and how people actually think it's her. No wonder she thinks it's evil.

Thanks for posting those. Those were good. I too am slightly suspicious of myspace. but it has it's pros and cons.. Anyway, good to hear that shes at least got it in her mind to do another album.

NOT to be a party-poop but I feel that she really does have a very good point. One in five children is solicited for sex online. It's getting to be REALLY bad and in my opinion myspace.com really is getting to be very, very dangerous. I certainly would NEVER let my kids use it (once I have kids).

I don't understand my friends who have "Myspace" accounts. It seems like a waste of time and rather lame. I admit, I have taken a look at a couple Myspace pages, and it looks so sad! People post pictures of themselves with their best "bedroom eyes" look, which ends up looking pathetic 99% of the time. And then there are all those stories about sexual predators....

And, friends from school will come up to me and say "You'll never believe what _____ said to me on myspace!!!" And I just want to strangle them and say "Are you crazy? It's not even real life!"

To make a long story short, I agree with Stevie! Oh, and yippee about her plans to do an album in the future!

apparently, MySpace serves some useful purpose, too. Just the other day, a school massacre was prevented when students reported the plot given on MySpace to the authorities.

Well, yeah, perhaps I should add that it has its good side too, and can even be fun. I think ultimately it's up to the parents or guardians to supervise; but I think she's wise to bring this to people's attention and let them know that the supposed "Stevie" sites on myspace are fake, and that she feels it's dangerous. If you really think about it, maybe this is "Lawsuit City" for her. ( ANYTHING is Lawsuit City, after all... )

I kinda get the impression Stevie "rifles off" some of these responses kind of quickly (dictating them to Karen or someone, I suppose) and doesn't exactly spend 5 hours thinking about how to phrase things 100% correctly.

Nice of her to do this at all, though - nothing like that on Madonna's website, for example.

Anyway though, I can certainly understand somebody from Stevie's "age group" being down on something like myspace and seeing the negative a lot more than the positive - being 57 it's probably something that wouldn't interest her in the FIRST place so she probably sees the bad more than the good. I betcha her Dad wasn't too keen on this "Color TV" stuff at first - letting X-RAYS into the HOUSE!? Not MY house!!! (etc.)
