I know MacDouginator actually believes that Billy was hired specifically to look like Lindsey, but that's beyond belief to me.
I tell you what. When Tango first fired up on the stage, I coulda swore that Lindsey was back!!!! Yeah, I didn't have very good seats for Tango, but from my ****ty seats, it sure LOOKED, and even sounded like Lindsey. It took me a few songs to make sure that it wasn't.
Even if it wasn't a major factor in Billy's hiring, it sure didn't HURT anything that he bore a strong resemblance.

as for Rick: not to replace Lindsey per se but to fill the lead guitarist role, which was empty at the time. Every band needs a lead guitarist, & Billy wasn't one. So either Rick needed to be hired or another lead guitarist needed to be hired--somebody had to be brought in to play lead guitar.
Rick fits your first premise, as well...he & Billy were in the midst of working on a project together when Mick called Billy to ask him to join FMac. So, being friends, Billy suggested they recruit Rick, too.

I'm thinking Stevie didn't quite make it to the 300 lb mark- please.

No, Stevie was NEVER 300 pounds. Give me a break. At most she was 180 or so. And that is plenty big for a 5'1'' frame ( I know because I'm that height).

And if all the Stevie or anyone bashing is for "your own amusement" then why not do it via private message? It's blatantly obvious to me that generally y'all are TRYING to rile Stevie fans..and that is just cruel and you tell THEM to get a life for taking it personally...yet y'all have all this time to make fun of and bash her? Sounds like you could use a life as well.

I am SUCH an idiot.....my inner self is saying, "don't hit send" but I will...because IT's MY Message board too...so there.

I was just quoting Homer. I have no idea what her biggest size was. But she did hit a unhealthy weight at one point.

I'm glad you hit send, Deanna, because that's how I feel, as well.

Well, no, they obviously didn't want somebody to replace those aspects of Lindsey. You could almost hear the collective sigh of, "Thank god! Now we can really go MOR!"

I don't think anyone is bashing Stevie.

As for me, I adore her anyway. Just sing, I say, just sing it to me. I've gone to every tour (since I was old enough), so it doesn't bother me in the least what size she is. I found her über sexy on TOSOTM tour and Behind The Mask (first leg). But you know, it's different. She's not as young and spirited anymore, so I don't expect her to jump off the stage (US Festival) or shake it on Golden and Braid or exorcise demons (Mirage Tour) much anymore. She's got that slow, graceful flow now.

Seriously?? I guess not. But only if we're being completely serious.

Anyway, I think Stevie is nicely voluptuous these days. She used to be too skinny, now she has a nice earth mother look (and feel I've heard!) to her. I think she's still a beauty. I hope I look that hot when I'm pushing 60 .

Very true..

Never been a fan of a narrow ass... I don't know why really. Subconsciously I suppose I like a bit of shape around that area. Don't get me wrong, I don't like a baboon ass But a few curves in the right places are very cool I think.
