Jannie, I'm glad that you have a diagnosis, but I'm sorry to hear about the no insurance thing. At least you are saving a little money from not smoking to pay for it.

Well, since Stevie is now doing Bat Mitzvahs, maybe we can get her and some friends to a benefit concert for you.

Yeah, I'm sure it will be that much. Tell them to just bill you monthly without showing the total.

I'm sorry to hear about your health problems but I am so happy that you have answers! Damn that doctor who made you feel crazy before. Doctors can be pompous a-holes. Except for Brad. And female doctors! Chicks rule.

I've always been partial to female doctors, teachers, bosses, friends, etc.

reminds me of an episode of The Golden Girls where Dorothy feels tired, etc. and every doctor she goes to says it's just in her head blah blah blah...then she finds one who actually treats her blah blah blah - she then sees the old doctor out at dinner one night and gives him a preaching Julia Sugarbaker would be proud of.

In addition to that, I pulled a muscle in my back, and could hardly walk. So, I went to the doctor and she gave me an antibiotic for the toe and a shot of demerol/phenergan for the back (yay). While I was there, she pulled my results from my ultrasound the week before and told me that not only do I have gallstones, but my gallbladder isn't functioning properly. So, they're scheduling me for surgery next week and I have no medical insurance!!!! How's your week going?

Janet,
Sorry for the sucky week you're having. But you are going to feel SO much better after you recover from surgery. Sucks about not having insurance, but it'll work out somehow. Good luck with everything....

I am sorry to hear about your gallbladder Janet. I am also sorry to hear that you don't have any insurance. I can't believe that there are people that don't have any. Both my Mom and Dad had their gallbladder taken out so I guess that it is a matter of time.
I hope that everything works out well for you.

I can't remember where I left off with this, but basically- I have postponed the surgery (was supposed to have it today!) because the doctor has required a down payment and I just don't have it right now. We are moving into a new house on May 1 and the deposit would tighten us up a little too much. So, thank you all for your support and encouragement. However, I will just have to be in chronic pain until I can afford to have the surgery. Pity party, please.

That really sucks Janet. Does adjusting your diet help at ALL? Like, are you in less pain if you cut out fatty foods?
