I thought I read it was speech therapy or something like that.

I couldn't agree with you more, so your opinion isn't completely unpopular! The close-ups, the cheesy special effects, the editing - oh, the horror! I never watch the TITN DVD either.

Thrown Down was written around or after The Dance tour, there's a demo from the TISL era. It was 4 new songs that she wrote for SYW, she has said in interviews that she wrote them quickly (within a month or two at most, I believe) because she wanted to give Mac fresh material as opposed to all older stuff. That's why Destiny Rules, Illume, Silver Girl & SYW were dubbed "The Phoenix Four" by Stevie.

There is 1 RTTG demo floating around in fan circles, it is a RAL-era demo. If there are "several" more can you please post them? I love hearing different version of her songs. I think gldstwmn requested this also.

UM..Stevie has said in interviews that she feels that all the newer female artists are like her children, or something to that effect. Something about her trying to teach them & give them advice so they don't make the same mistakes she did. I'll try to find the article to quote.

I can't really think of any "unpopular" opinions that others haven't already mentioned. Well, OK, I think that Stevie poops. I don't think many fans want to think that she does, but she really does poop like the rest of us.

You know paula that reminds me of the blurb I just reas where I think it's Mariah Carey that WILL NOT agree to do a show unless her dressing room has a brabd new private toilet installed in each venue.

I found one, I know there are more but I can't locate them as of yet. Anyway, here's an example from the Entertainment Weekly Online interview from 5/1/98:

Quote:
EW: Obviously you have a rapport going with Courtney. But how does it really feel when it's so trendy to worship you all of a sudden? Not that with her it doesn't come from a place of sincerity....

Nicks: Well, it does. Even though I was like her hero for a long time, now I really know her, and she knows me. She's like my wild child. I don't have a whole lot in common with Courtney Love, but I really like her, and I want her to be great. And I know this life is hard, being in this business, so maybe I'm just here to give her advice every once in a while -- "don't make this mistake or this mistake." [Pause, and a laugh.] Like I can tell her, right?

I never claimed to have the demos. I know that FM recorded RTTG & Smile At You in MIRAGE Sessions and neither made the Album.

I had family visitng from out of town, that's why I haven't been around as of late. Miss me?

I was just curious how you know that RTTG was recorded in Mirage sessions if there are no other demos in circulation besides the RAL-era one. Smile At You, most of us have a few different versions but there's only 1 RTTG as far as I know. Just wondering if you had something the rest of us weren't aware of.

Whatever anyone says about Stevie's level of commitment to Fleetwood Mac, I was impressed that she wrote a brand new song especially for 'The Dance,' and that she wrote four brand new songs for 'Say You Will.'
In both instances, she could have very easily relied entirely on her archive of previously-written songs, but she went the extra mile instead.

Oh, and listen to me very carefully... Stevie. doesn't. poop.
End of discussion, Missy!

I have seen the titles listed in recording sessions for different FM albums.
Like Gypsy was originally considered for Bella Donna....etc.
Of course I missed you! Your posts are great.
