I have a cat too, but I am definately a dog person.

That is one more reason I love Stevie, because she is an animal lover/dog lover too. Although her dog is insanely small! I like dogs that are a little bigger.

OMG, in the yearbook this year under "Greatest Moment" I put: "Touching Stevie Nicks". I can only imagine would people are going to think when they see that under my name! But I really don't care!

One time on the SYW tour in Cleveland, my friend and I got into an elevator at the hotel we later found out Fleetwood Mac was staying at. We were going to eat at one of the resturants, and one of Stevie's handlers walked onto the elevator with her 2 little ones. I was kinda waiting for Stevie to pop into the elevator, but that never happened.

Actually, it kinda freaked me out, cause my friend wanted to say those were Stevie's dogs, but I whispered to her not to cause I didnt want to draw attention to us. We were seriously just going to eat.

My bio:

I'm Ryan, heading towards 37 and have no idea how that happened. I already posted a pic on another thread.

I'm a Bay Area native and have lived in San Francisco since '89. I love it here and would be just fine never leaving the city limits, although I have traveled extensively.

I have worked in the HIV/AIDS arena since I got out of college as a public policy advocate.

I'm gay, widowed going on 5 years, and like the great Jessi Colter, have decided to keep moving forward, so I've reorganized my life and been able to find an identity beyond widower.

I love all animals, much more than people. I have two cats, a crazy calico girl and a sweet, fat boy.

Hobbies include reading, going to the movies at least once a week, theater, trying to stay in shape, happy hour, and my beloved San Francisco Giants. I'm a cofounder of a group of gay guys in their 30's who meet to discuss books, art, politics, etc.

Have loved Stevie Nicks since '75, although I did lose interest between OSOTM and '97. Missing the Street Angel tour is one of my biggest regrets. Driving to Phoenix to see her play at a Don Henley benefit in March, 1997, reignited my love and I haven't looked back.

I did have a co-worker and good friend who shared my Stevie love, and we traveled to Phoenix for AHI fiasco and LA for the House of Blues shows. The last time I saw her was at the San Jose SYW concert in '03; she committed suicide a few months later. I miss her.

Ryan, I'm so sorry for the loss of your partner and also your Stevie friend.

It sounds like you have a full, rich life, well done.

I haven't had much time to delve into this thread but will tomorrow as I "work" from home.

If you hate FL, why don't you try to go to college out of state? That would be a great way to get out of there & try out another area.

The Ritz.

We were at the dirty-ass Ramada near the Post Gazette Pavilion last year. Gross. Highly NOT recommended.

I felt like I was reading a novel. I totally got mental images of all this. You've done a lot to be so young and it's great you work in the HIV/AIDS arena.

And I'm deeply sorry for both of your losses.

Well it is just much more expensive to do Out-of-State schools. And, I sort of want to breakaway a little slower. This is starting to sound like a Kelly Clarkson song.

Thank you Jazmen and Suze. I do feel like I've had a rich life and very lucky to have known some great people, even if some of them just for a few years.
