Chris rocked and I love that song, its been on loop in my head ever since the performance. Kevin was terrible. Taylor was disappointing - altogether the wrong song for him. Will looks like Peter Brady. For those like me who've been having trouble with the names may I present http://www.idolonfox.com/contestants/.

Ace, Peter Brady, Kevin, and Crooner all sucked! They need the boot. And what's with a 16 year old singing "Lady" anyway? That was absolutely ridiculous. I laughed and laughed.

Taylor, man, I'm rooting for him but that performance was not all that great. I love that song though.

Gideon, Elliott, and Chris were the best. Chris's performance was outstanding.

I thought Sway did a good job and I don't normally like him! I thought the judges were waaaaay too critical of his performance. I mean, they trashed it basically and then let little hobbit gnome (Kevin) off with a slap on the wrist (he MURDERED I Heard it Through the Grapevine btw). I thought Sway sounded just like Stevie Wonder .

I agree. I thought they were going to really go after Kevin because his performance was awful and they didn't. I thought Sway sounded a little like Stevie Wonder too and I think that was the problem according to the judges. Sway needed to put his own touch to the song and he didn't.

Austin is a town full of music snobs, including myself. Most serious musicians/singers around here wouldn't dream of subjecting themselves to such schlock.

It's funny because whenever some people try to put their own touch on an established song the judges go after them with pitchforks, but then when other contestants try to live up to the original vocals of the song they're covering the Judges cry foul because it sounds too much like the original. Their comments are not consistent. My real feeling is that there are certain people by this time in the competition that they're sick of and want out of there, and this is their way to get them out.

Agreed. From last night and the night before's comments, I would say they want Frank Sinatra guy and the snotty "America gets to decide" girl to go.

He's starting to get on my nerves. He's constantly mugging for the camera and the Ray Charles schtick is getting old on him.

Ugh Brenna That girl has got to go. She is not only the bitchiest girl in the competition, she doesn't even have any talent to back it up. There is nothing that is even remotely interesting about that girl.

And Sinatra guy, I can't watch him. He cannot sing, has no range, and doesn't even do a good imitation of the music he is butchering. He is totally whoreanus.

Is this Nashville Star or American Idol? Enough with the country crap. Does anyone know any other song then Stevie Wonder's? Yuk. Thank god I can't vote! I am so sick of Paula and Randy saying the same **** over and over again. I'm sorry but I've tuned out this season. Bring on Rock Star, at least they sing some half decent music.

I don't know what happened. Last week I would have said that the song selections were better than they have been in the past. More rock songs (like Mandisa with Heart) and fewer boy-band wannabes. But this week? Ugh. I agree. Though I didn't mind Bucky's version of Garth Brooks. And I hate Garth Brooks. People, just because you are from the South you do not have to represent (as they're all saying) by singing Country!

I am so sick of Stevie Wonder songs...****! I thought they were just as boring as the girls, except for Chris and Elliot. Ace was fine, as usual, but he really worked the camera a bit much.

here's my list in order:

Chris - awesome...the best of both nights
Elliot - very smooth voice. I like him, but lord he ain't nothin' to look at.
Ace - he must stay simply to look at. he's got a nice voice but boy is it thin
Bucky - he seems like such a sweet country boy. I want to see what else he can do.
Gedeon - don't like him, but he has a nice originality
Will and David - love them...they are by no means the best, but I just love to look and listen to them...I like David more
Sway - yuck...me no likey
Kevin - he's just a little joke...I feel bad for him, let him go already
Taylor - sick of that cajun, bayou yipping and yelling during his songs and his terret's is really acting up these days
