Well I'm guessing it was either Madison Blues or Dust My Broom, Carousel Ballroom, San Francisco, June 7th 1968. But I don't have the setlist so I'm going off intuition here...

I'm sure David or chiliD can correct me though. I was 6 years from existence when they played that gig.

Really, though, if it were an Elmore James tune, it's hard to say what the very first note would have been, as Jeremy may have missed a string, and what should have been, say, a "D" was in fact an "A." There's a lot of variation between what is ACTUALLY played and what is INTENDED to be played when playing a riff involving a full chord (which is the case with those Elmore James tunes).
