There's a Chinese food place here in town that has a GREAT soup called "Three Flavor Noodle Soup". It has scallops, shrimp & chicken (white meat only) with Asian veggies (bok choy, water chestnuts, THINLY sliced carrots) & spaghetti-type noodles...comes in a BIG bowl (water slide & diving board were removed for human consumption). It is tough to finish in one sitting.

That's right, and I stand by my rule. The horrific mango/vomit soup incident has eliminated all chance that I will ever try a cold soup again, it scarred me that badly.

Mango/Vomit. I don't think i've tried that, but I have had Chutney/Ass soup.

But doesn't cold strawberry soup sound good? I have no idea what's in it, but if it's strawberries, that seems fine. Hey, why didn't Rachel tell me the ingredients?! That drunken whore.

The Thai soup I mentioned is a lime coconut soup, sometimes with Chicken, but I think it can be without as well.
I like WP soups better than Amy's. Amy's are just ok for me. The absolute best (speaking organic and vegetarian) is the Coco Pazzo soups. Ever tried those?

I haven't tried those, but I love the name: it sounds like the name of a fur and diamond draped socialite, or her little lap dog.

Still waiting for Chili to send me some of that Chinese soup he mentioned...

I just had to say that last week Danny's had a Tomato Dumpling soup & it was sooooooooooooooooooo damn good! It's still cold here, so I'll be eating a lot of soup for at least another couple of months.

Back by popular demand (well, OK, just Carrie) - the soup thread!

I had a can of Progresso Southwestern Chicken for lunch. Oh - and a few weeks ago I thawed out some beer cheese soup I had made & frozen a few months back. It was awesome. I'll have to make it again.

Oh my - you actually revived it...

I never DID get around to making that egg drop soup...but I still have it on my fridge...waiting to be made..it's supposed to be cold this weekend - perhaps I'll make it then.

I just bought a load of progesso soups..they're ever so handy on days I don't feel like preparing a lunch

Damn straight I did.

Progresso is pretty good, relatively healthy and many are only 4 WW points. Nothing like homemade of course, but great for a quick lunch.

The ones I eat are only 2 OH...wait - I only eat half...yep 4 points...I love that...and they're definitely not homemade - but they're great in a soup pinch....have you tried their 98% fat free Clam Chowder?

It's actually not that bad...

here are soups that i don't like:

-clam chowder of any variety
-most tomato soups
-any cheese soup made with american cheese

here are soups that i do like:

-italian wedding soup
-most chicken/turkey soups
-cheese and broccoli
-cheese and potato
-cheese and cheese
-chili

does chili count as a soup? "soup" is a funny word.
