Torn, the petals drop
He picks them one by one
Testing out our love
By proving that it's gone

Then he sings to me
So soft and sweet

Calumny....

Yuppers. It's all a bit odd.

NTF is the stand out one there to be honest. Yikes. What on earth? Have you seen it live on the Mirage DVD? It's just ..... spine-tingling. For all the wrong reasons. Terrifying stuff.

Sorry Lindsey. You know I love you. Lots. Happy Valentines... See you later...

Spine-tingling! Great way of describing it. To tell you the truth, many of his life performances are spine-tingling, but mostly cringeworthy . That singing sometimes is just...off waaaay off.

Only in relation to NTF or in general? No, usually he's spot on but that time that one song ... never ever again.

I remember when Lindsey Lohan's Edge of Seventeen came out some clever individual said that they'd rather listen to an eternity of NTF live than hear that again.

I think that says it all really.

I like NTF. I sing (if you could call it that) it a lot... Mostly when I'm in a weird mood, which is almost all the time. If you want wrong-kind spine tingling, just look at his dancing on the Mirage DVD. Just goes to show that guitarists hear a different beat.

And, I must admit, I do enjoy the moaning. *cough*

Oh yeah. The dancing. Um .....

It's sort of the dancing that contributes in a very major way to the horrendous-ness of NTF. The moaning ..... He's done better. [I should know... heehee]

Speaking of the dancing, anyone ever notice the little twirl he does? Stevie influences this band so much. Mick wears a top hat, Chris has flowers on her mic and Lindsey twirls. All that's left is John. *odd images of John dripping in black chiffon and lace*

The lines that apply to me are:

All the lyrics in "Albatross", "Underway" & "Earl Grey".

Instrumentals. I guess sometimes there just are no words.

Rock on.

Ok, I got huffy on another thread and thought I'd quit, but I'm compelled to write here.

There are many lyrics that mean so much to me, but the one that has stuck with me year in and year and hits home all the time is...

"Time cast a spell on you, but you won't forget me. I know I could have loved you but you would not let me....You'll never get away from the sound of a woman that loved you."

Second would be...

"So I closed my eyes softly, 'til I become that part of the wind, that we all long for sometime.....yeah."

Yeah...

Yeah...
I love Angel, especially "I still look up/when you walk in the room/I have the same wide eyes/now they tell the story." Greatness.

Welcome back! It obviously was a misunderstanding on your part. Hope you'll stick around.

I'm glad you're back, I've really enjoyed your posts wavey: I hope you've read that other thread & know that the "boots" comment wasn't referring to you, it was referring to bootleg recordings.

Never have I been a blue calm sea...I have always been a storm

Take on the situation but not the torment -- now you know it's not as bad as it seems

Come in out of the darkness you are in love with...and I'm ready to sail

"Looks for escapism....
To feel the empty spaces she's feeling
She depends on her music like a husband
And she knows it's no good to fall in love again..."

this speaks to me like no other - this describes me in every way. my music is my crutch when there is nobody else
