I'm not! I don't have any Dance tour boots, hence my question. I've got one SYW tour boot that someone sent me in a trade before I knew we were going to have Live in Boston.

Ummm...you MUST get the "Dancing Again" bootleg, if for no other reason than to hear a fantastic version of "Oh Daddy"!

To me the dance is what made me a fan. I always thought that the harmonies and vocals were top notch. However when you lok back it does seem like they did it for the money. I mean I don't know their persoanl fianances but I would guess that the income generated would have bee a help to some of the members (Mick for example if you belive all the stories squandered all of his money on drugs and bad investments). However whether or not it was about the money I don't care, for the diehard fans and casual fans it was a chance to have the rumours line up reunited after having gone through the ten years of various members coming and going.

The SYW album was pretty good even if Christine wasn't on it. What makes me mad is how the set list is soooo stale and stagnant. Anybody who argues that the tour was not about the money is wrong. The songs were done the same as they always have been done. The dialogue was even the same night after night.

What I find interesting is how Lindsey did alot of lesser known stuff on his Soundsatge performance but he didn't do the same with the SYW tour. They have made enough money I think that they could afford to be a litle adventerous for once.

Come on Fm live a little and stop thinking about dollar signs!!!!

Matt

Do me a favor. I'm new here. If the "boots" mention is in reference toward me, then I'm outta here. Because that has snark written all over it, and since I haven't established myself here - nor have I been welcomed by many through my posts, the insinuation that my comments are not important is BS. My comments about The Dance were not to enlighten anyone - it was just a post that explained my feelings about the reunion. "Just listening to boots doesn't tell you much?" What the hell are you looking at my post for information? If you're trying to gleen any nuance on what The Dance is about from what I posted, then you're pathetically barking up the wrong tree.

If you weren't referring to me, than I apologize for this blow up. But if you were - "F" this.... I've posted on more intense forums than this, and have been in dragged out verbal fights with people, but it only took less than a day of my signing up on this board for someone to be underhandly obnoxious. I came here to talk about a band I love - not this crap. My thick skin has quickly thinned. I'm outta here....already.

it is very clear that the "boots" reference is with respect to BOOTLEG recordings regarding the band

friendly advice, if you are unsure if someone is making a reference towards you, simply ask before going into a rant. for instance, there are several Jasons on this board, but I make sure I check to see which one is being "talked" to before I respond

now, all that said, just chill and keep on talking about the greatest band EVAHHHH...you're doing great

As Jason just said..."boots" refers to the many unofficial live recordings being circulated through Fleetwood Mac fandom.

I'd consider Jason's advice.

(See, Jason? We agree on something! )

Thats like saying, I don't mean to be an @$$hole, BUT.... The "but" indicates you are gonna be one anyway! haha...you should be condemned for your impertinence. I even think in MY posts I clear spelled out the word "bootlegs." how you jumped to the conclusion that you did is nigh-unfathomable. Perhaps you're used to being treated that way on other boards. We ALL disagree quite often on the Ledge, but thats what makes the place interesting. Once again, can't we all get along? Just show some love. I am. Your opinion is appreciated and duly noted, but you're still condemned....ooooooohhhhh *insert Jaws theme*

Uh, "boots" as in bootlegs? Chill, thank you. Talk about barking up the wrong tree.
