Shame on me for getting excited when I read the thread title....although GDW with an orchestra sounds promising.

Is it just me, or do y'all read "Red Rover" arena instead of "Rod Lover?"

Only 10 songs with the orchestra is the way I take it...the rest she will just rock out on w/ her band.

I'm so shocked! Rhiannon, Landslide, AND Gold Dust Woman!
I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. Of course a newspaper is going to mention the more popular choices, but ten songs songs is a lot. She couldn't fill ten slots with all obvious choices...

...could she?

(Rhetorical, people. Rhetorical. Fingers crossed, though.)

Okay, I have been called cynical more than once in my life. But really... do we truly want this to be recorded and released? Is this how she's oging to fulfill that contractual obligation? We'll wind up with yet another version of a greatest hits. Hmm... 10 songs... recorded live in Australia.

Outside the Rain
Dreams
Gold Dust Woman
Rhiannon
Stand Back
Enchanted
Edge of 17
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
Landslide
Beauty and the Beast

Yes, I can't wait, whatever she sings. It would be a live album with an orchestra and that sounds very promising.

Maybe this will actually supplant the previously rumoured new "best of" album that was supposed to coincide with the Australian tour?
Stevie's never had a live album before, so that would help provide something fresher for the die-hards than just another standard "best of." Yet the record company would get what they want, too, because casual fans will still see the likes of "Stand Back" and "Landslide" on the track-listing.
