That's too bad. I wonder if they were waiting until the most recent issue of Allure came out. Sheryl's on the cover and the photo's inside show her in a wedding dress and she talks about the wedding.

Seriously, though, it's a real shame about Lance and Sheryl. I wonder if he came out and told her he and Matthew McConaughey were an item? Well, those 2 did attend the Rose Bowl and seemed quite chummy. No Sheryl or Penelope in sight. Hmmm...

Armstrong speaks of Crow heartbreak

Cyclist Lance Armstrong is "torn" that his relationship with Sheryl Crow didn't work out, because she showed him a love he'd never experienced before.

The Tour De France star announced his engagement and romance with Crow was over at the weekend and mentioned the split briefly on his satellite radio show on Sunday night, which he closed with a favourite Crow song, Letter to God.

Acknowledging his troubled week, Armstrong said: "Obviously, this week was a rough week for us, but that doesn't change the fact that I think Sheryl is an unbelievable lady, one of the smartest, wisest, most gifted people I've ever met and a person that I can honestly say has shown me a love that I never knew.

"It's only fair that I say that and it's only fair that we play one of her songs tonight and not run from the situation. I'm torn that it didn't work out but that doesn't matter.

"Fans of mine are fans of hers and hopefully fans of hers are fans of mine. She's a great lady and it deserves to be that way. So this is my favourite song, which I think we've played before on the show, on her newest record. It's a song called Letter To God."

The pair got engaged in September 2004. The seven-time Tour De France champion, who famously overcame testicular cancer, has three children from a previous marriage, while Crow was set to wed for the first time.

AND, in that same article she was talking about moving to Austin. Guess she won't now.

I don't know the details, but I posted on the Sheryl thread on the Stevie board that Dale Dudley (local morning show DJ) saw Lance at a nightblub last weekend w/ "some hottie." If it's true, that didn't take long...and on Sheryl's official board, there seems to be a general consensus that Lance is a man-whore.

All rumours and speculation...I'm sure the truth will come out soon...

from what I've heard Sheryl is a pissy biotch that is very cynical and cold. My sources say Lance couldn't take her nasty attitude anymore.

I think it's interesting that she was there for him through the last Tour de France but when it was time for him to reciprocate and tour with her, the relationship fell apart.

Plus the doping rumours have always bothered me.
