Exclamation Coachella Details Confirmed-Depeche Mode, Tool, Franz Ferdinand...

Found this on Pollstar.com and thought I would post it since there are plenty of Depeche Mode & Franz Ferdinand fans here

--------------------------------
Coachella Details Confirmed

Updated 14:30 PST Tue, Jan 31 2006

The official Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup is supposed to be announced any second now, but the news is leaking out all over the place.

Depeche Mode, Tool, Franz Ferdinand, Paul Oakenfold, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sigur Rós, Common, Matisyahu, TV on the Radio, Danger Mouse, Damian Marley, HARD-Fi, She Wants Revenge, Cat Power and the Like are among the more than 80 artists scheduled to play the seventh edition of the two-day fest in Indio, Calif. The event takes place April 29 - 30 and tickets go on sale February 4 through Ticketmaster.

Depeche Mode will close the first night on the main stage, and Tool close up the show on Sunday. At the conclusion of Coachella's 1999 debut run, Tool and Rage Against the Machine capped the event with a set helped cement the celebrated festival's future.

General admission tickets are $85 for a one-day ticket and $165 for two-day pass, plus applicable service charges and a $1 donation per day for charity.

Fans can also purchase a two-day pass which includes a pre-order of the "Coachella" documentary DVD for $190, plus a $2 donation to charity and all applicable service charges.

There is an eight ticket limit per person. As per tradition, there is free parking and the doors to the venue will open at 11 a.m. on both days. Parking lots and the box office open at 9 a.m.

Camping passes will go sale at the same time as tickets and are available for anyone 18 and over. The cost is $35 for a three-night stay (April 28 at 3 p.m. through May 1 at 10 a.m.).

The campground facilities include a general store, food court, restrooms, showers and shade areas. The Coachella campground is located adjacent to the festival grounds and campers may park in a special camping parking lot next to the campground. Parking is included with the price of each camping ticket.

Well, with a few exceptions, this line-up excites me a lot less than last year's. I feel better about not being able to make it now!

Hey I can recognize most of the "old" names. Thats the kind of music I listen to...as do most of my friends. This one doesn't ring a bell.

Well I'm only 23, I'm not quite over the hill just yet, but Depeche Mode are a band (I think if they were starting out today, they'd probably be branded as "electropop") that were at their most popular in the early/mid-80s, though they just released a new album at the end of last year. At the very least, you've probably heard "Just Can't Get Enough," which I think is still popular on radio and was featured in one of those Gap ads from six or seven years ago that would pan across a bunch of beautiful people in Gap-wear singing the lyrics.

I don't have a copy of the song or I'd upload it to YouSendIt (can someone else do this?), but here's the lyrics of the first verse or so:

When I'm with you, baby, I go out of my head
And I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough
All the things you do to me and everything you said
And I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough

We slip and slide as we fall in love
And I just can't seem to get enough
