My speciality is European history from the medieval times through Napoleon- approximately the fall of the Byzantine Empire to just after the French Revolution. I am a history geek- I get all

when I read/talk about it.

Has anyone besides me TiVo'd The Presidents on The History Channel?? I have been gorging myself on that program. Good stuff. They were courageous enough to talk about our gay president, but not courageous enough to talk about one of our most racist presidents. Oh, well... nobody's perfect.

Who's our gay president? Who's the most racist? I would watch it if I had cable.
Isn't that Mariel's specialty, too? Weird.

Hey, he's one of my ancestors. That's about the only interesting, non-****ty thing I've ever heard about him!

He's kind of the Edward II of the U.S. He chose to be ineffectual, which is why he's so reviled. He certainly should have never been president, however, there are worse ones out there.... Dubya, for one.
