I did see that Woolworths (large high street retailer that sells everything but nothing) were selling it for £4.67

Maybe other retailers have discounted it as well and this has raised the sales

Would that also explain why Hotel California is at 45?

Hmm, they also only list 1 disc, and it contains pre Stevie and Lindsey tracks Black Magic Woman and Albatross. Could be an abbreviated version, and that might be the reason for the lower price? Kind of like when they released "Selections from the Chain" several years ago. I don't have my copy near, but here is the trac listing from the website:

Disc : 1
1 Go Your Own Way
2 Don't Stop
3 Dreams
4 Little Lies
5 Everywhere
6 Albatross
7 You Make Loving Fun
8 Rhiannon
9 Black Magic Woman
10 Tusk
11 Say You Love Me
12 Man Of The World
13 Seven Wonders
14 Family Man
15 Sara
16 Monday Morning
17 Gypsy
18 Over My Head
19 Landslide
20 The Chain
21 Big Love (Live From Dance)

No, that's been the UK tracklist since it was released. There were two versions of VBoFM released from the start.

Yup, thats the UK track listing same as the one I bought. It has been discounted in a lot of shops and is usually a part of offers like TWO FOR £19 or some such. With christmas and all, might explain why so many have been sold. Same for stuff like The Eagles over here.

Yeah the UK Version has always had that tracklisting. It's no uncommon for it to enter in the bottom end of the top 40. I've noticed it happened a few times. Music zone seem to always have it on sale at about 4 quid and its right at the front of the shop most of the time.

It's always making an entry in and out of the top 40 every now and then. It must hover around that area pretty much constanly.

It's at #40 this week after selling 6,563 copies (which isn't bad considering it must do around that figure on a weekly basis.)

Will young who is at #10 only did 16,155 copies and his album only been out a month or something.

My point is that if it sold a couple more thousand one flook week (say due to it been reduced and put on more sales that it already is.) it could quite easily re-enter the top 20. Pretty cool I think.

In Germany the 1CD version was released first (which charted two, I think) and about one month later (after I bought it) they released the two disc version without the Peter Green-era material, which they sold for about 30-35 euros (because it was a "special limited 2CD edition", I think)! About 8 months ago, they sold they double CD (without the paper sleeve around the CD) for 10 euros and it was pretty cheap in all shops I have seen it, but I'm not sure if this version charted again!
