Working Titles of Songs

I noticed on both the Rumours and Tusk re-issues on the bonus discs that some of Lindsey's and Christine's songs in their earlier stages have different working titles than what the finished songs have on the albums.

Stevie's songs are titled the same on both. I know some of her demos circulate in the fan community with titles that are different before they come out (i.e. Nomad vs. Candlebright, No Light vs. Planets of the Universe) but I think those are names that the fans just come up with, as "Planets" is the title on the Rumours re-issue.

So I'm wondering why this is. Is it because Lindsey and Chris are both musicians and their songwriting style is writing music first and lyrics second to go along with the music? Where as Stevie writes the other way around lyrics first and her simple style of music second? I don't know if that is true, but it's the only logical explanation I could come up with.

Does anyone know if that is the case or have the answer?

I do not know the answer to your question but quite alot of Stevie's songs as well also have different working titles as well.

I'm still trying to figure out why there were 3 different versions of I Know I'm Not Wrong on it. I loved the demo cd, but that was a bit exsessive

I know I'm veering further away from the subject at hand, but when it comes to I Know I'm Not Wrong...nothing's too excessive

I really wish he used some of the lyrics that were in the demos, though.

I think that the working titles of the demos were als used by Stevie/Christine/Lindsey because the demos themselves are registered with the National Archives or something like that I think, so that is where our demo titles come from.

As for No Light being called Planets of the Universe on the Rumours reissue it is probably due to the fact the officially released version had been released and they wanted people who didn't know to realise it was the same song.

If that was the case (which it may well be, I don't know), wouldn't it make more sense for them to call it "No Light (Planets of the Universe)" or "No Light/Planets of the Universe", to cover both bases?
