You really have to get the whole Court & Spark album, though. And all her albums, really.
Argh, I can't make a connection to download it. I shall keep trying and thanks for upping it.

Annie re-recorded it about ten years ago and it's pretty good. Have you heard it?

I was listening to that in my car earlier when I was going to dinner. I don't think I ever skip a song on that album (except maybe "The Tide Is High" because I'm so ****ing sick of it). It's like a movie. One giant, preposterous, kitschy, fun movie. The moment on that album that makes my whole body feel electric is the transition from "Europa" into "Live It Up." It can't be explained.

But I can't believe Christine Perfect, 84 solo, or ITM didn't make the cut!!!

I've never heard TISL. I divorced Old What's Her Name after OSOTM(egads, what a piece of sh*t!).
I felt bad about not including any Chris solo albums, BUT, it's more timing than anything. Maybe it's just me, but, odds are, alot of music that ends up making a permanent impression on you, merely has to do with where you were at that point in your life. I was being completely honest, listing albums that were integral to me reaching the next step in life. The only one I left out was Yes - 90125.

For what? Stating his opinion, without saying anything negative towards any Ledgie here?
We're all different. Wouldn't it be BORING if we weren't?

I get that too, it's weird. I guess it's just part of the whole Autoamerican experience. That's one great record tho.

Plus, "Live It Up" has "funeral pyre" in the lyrics. Points are scored automatically for that.

I think I'd pass out if they somehow managed to open a show with "Europa."

Excellent choice, Dan-O!! Everything about Jeff B. is awesome (except that he's dead). That song gets me every time.

My absolute favorite Eurythmics album, with "Savage" being the best of a very good bunch of songs.

"I have this unhappiness to wear around my neck
It's a pretty piece of jewelry to show what I protect...
"

Not to mention probably my favorite Annie lyrics, ever...

"You think you know just what you want
But you have used that weapon against me.
Did I tell you I was lying by the way
When I said I wanted a new mink coat!

I was just thinking about
Something sleek-
To wrap around my tender throat...

I was dreaming like a Texan girl!
A girl who thinks she's got the right to everything!
A girl who thinks she should have something extreme!!
"

Well I can do the top ten I can think of now, but it does change often...oh and not in any real order:

1) FM :The Dance:
It's the only one to have most of my fave songs by them...Sweet Girl, Rhiannon, My Little Demon, GYOW.

2) Beatles: Rubber Soul: My perfect album, I used to carry this album everywhere: In My Life, Norwegian Wood, I'm Looking Through You...

3) Bob Dylan: Blood on the Tracks: Has two of my all time fave songs: Shelter From the Storm, Tangled Up in Blue.

4) Joni Mitchell: Blue: Another perfect album: California, River, Blue

5) Stevie Nicks: Belladonna: My fave of hers: ATGF, THM, EO17, BD.

6) Led Zepplin: How the West Was Won Disc 1: Great Live album: Going to California, Over the Hills and Far Away, That's the Way, Black Dog.

7) The Doors: GH: LA Woman, Riders on the Storm, Love Me 2x.

8) Jefferson Airplane: Worst of: never tire of this: White Rabbit, Lather, Embryonic Journey

9) The Who: Who's Next: Bargin, Baba'o Riley

10) Tie for this: Madonna: Immaculate Collection: Cherish, Vogue, Material Girl, Express Yourself.

Rolling Stones: Hot Rocks: Disc 1: Ruby Tuesday, Paint it Black.
