Artists or vocalists? I guess it doesn't matter but my list would probably be ordered differently if it was just going by vocals. Don Henley would be ahead of Lindsey (gasp!) and Tom Petty would be somewhere near the end. But anyway. Overall:

1. Lindsey (constant)
2. Tom Petty (pretty much in order from here on out)
3. Don Henley
4. Jackson Browne
5. Damon Gough (Badly Drawn Boy)
6. John Lennon
7. Bob Dylan
8. John Denver
9. Freddie Mercury
10. Bono

Honorable mention:

Bruce Springsteen
Tom Chaplin (Keane)
Ben Harper
Chris Isaak
Robert Smith (The Cure)
Elliott Smith
Joseph Arthur
Anthony Keadis (RHCP)
Cat Stevens
Iron & Wine
Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand)
Johnny Cash
Elton John
Sting
Micheal Stipe (REM)

and because Christy put him first, I'll admit it - A.J. McLean

.
