Okay, you have to say what they did, now. Can't you plot some heinous revenge?

Ugh. Okay, here goes.

My roommate, whom I'll call Kip, had some friends over for Xmas dinner. I invited my ex-boyfriend, whom I'll call Chuck, because he didn't have anywhere else to go, and I thought I'd be a nice guy, you know?

So, there's this guy whom I'll call Martin (whom I had never met, but had only heard about through Chuck), whom Chuck hates with a passion, for reasons I won't get into, as it's just too convoluted. So, unbeknownst to me, Kip knows Martin and invited him to dinner.

Well, there's a minor altercation (very minor, as best as I can tell) between Chuck & Martin, and Martin and his date leave the party.

So, Kip posts on his weblog about how there was some "drama," I comment that I was sorry about that, and Kip responds that he would've asked Chuck to leave if he'd known what was going on. I didn't respond to that part, because I didn't want to get into a big thing about it.

So, Chuck happens upon said weblog and is now livid because I didn't defend him to Kip. I was merely trying to straddle the fence in what was a tense situation, because they're both my friends, although now I'm thinking that I don't really want anything to do with either one of them.

Wow, that's pretty lame. It sucks because you were being nice and normal, and then it blows up in your face. You know, it's good you didn't start a whole big thinkg with Kip. And honestly, we all hope our friends will defend us, but you really can't expect them to, it's not fair. Right? (I'm speaking of Chuck's reaction).
Overall that isn't too too bad, though. But it's not great, either.

WE have a ping pong table! It's in our garage folded up, we play in the summer a lot. They have air hockey & we have darts & foosball. I like to call them "lazy drunken sports." We all bowl too, btw. Oh, and may parents have a rarely used pool table.

I used to bowl alot too. I actually had a 165 average for awhile. but it's been like 3 years since I've done it. Had a 267 once.

Tell Chuck to stop being such a baby and defend himself! Seriously, he's making alot about nothing. It isn't your problem those two don't get along.

UGH drama sucks. My friend was the victim of some of this awhile back. He's a Gay Ex-Jehovah's witness, and they have this convention every year. Well, awhile back it was here in Minneapolis, and this turd from Houston and my friend had an issue, I'm not sure what it was excactly, so this prick gets back home and posts on some message board about how my friend is an asshole and has pity partys at this gay leather bar here called the Eagle. Funnt thing is, my friend hated that bar and isnt into the leather scene at all. But he just ignored this guy and aventually it went away.

My husband and I are going to my brother and his wife's. They are have a big party. We have dibs on one of the beds, so we can crash when it is time. What are we doing, did you ask? drinking, eating, dancing, listening to music, and getting "black cord fever" and calling everyone we know.

Exclamation Nothing...

we have nothing planned since Deb is scheduled to work 7p-7a that night, so I wont be doing anything (Sure as hell wont watch those New Year's bashes...Would make an exception if ABC dropped Dick Clark to his death instead of that ball in NYC)

I have considered burning in effigy the year that was/is 2005 (To quote my precious nephew Shane-"You must die muthaf**ker"), but there is a burn ban here in Oklahoma....So plan I blast the most brutal/hate-filled black/death metal at deafening volume instead.

One time while watching the ball drop a drunken idiot changed the channel at the very moment it dropped. Its kind of exciting to think everyone is mindful of the moment at the same time.

A couple of years ago I went to a "party". No one was there, the "host" hadn't bothered to tell the handful of people that he invited that there wasn't really going to be a party. Idiot.

Last year I had people over on a whim. Before midnight I invited them all up on the roof to see "if we could see the fireworks". Well, they were right over the harbor accross from our building! It was awesome. Plus I made the Cosmos with the homemade cranberry liquer. Everyone loved them. We sang karaoke too, that was so fun. My uncle was doing this Pink song in a monotone baritone, omigod we all were laughing so hard we were crying. It was perfect.

He has now demanded that I apologize or else he will end our friendship. Don't you just love ultimatums? I'd really like to meet someone who will prove to me that not everyone deserves to be boiled in oil, but given my past experiences, I think there's precious little chance of that happening.

Hmm, well, that sounds great! Just let him go. Friggin idiots, I agree that most people are. But there are some good ones out there! Ledgies included.

I'm certainly not going to kiss his ass. I dunno...I've been listening to Joni Mitchell's Wild Things Run Fast album (which is full of sappy, sappy "I love you" songs), and thinking "What planet is she living on? I don't think I've ever met anyone that I didn't end up wanting to back over with my car."

So explaining that you didn't "defend" him was because you didn't want the argument to escalate was not enough for him? Maybe just tell him you know your friend was wrong to post that on his blog but you just didn't feel it was your place to feed into the argument. I don't know. I hope that you work it out in a way that is satisfying. Good luck with it all.

You know, this new year's memory just came to me. Back in '99 in Vegas, I remember reading in the paper the next morning after Stevie getting ready to leave that only ONE person died the previous night. I found that to be pretty amazing
