If I dont like it, I dont listen to it. I'm a person that wants to hear BOTH sides of an arguement or issue, but along with Ann Coulter, I can't stand Liberal types that think their dhit dont stink either.

As opposed to conservative types like Man Coulter who think their **** doesn't stink? Pfft. The real question is why a state college is paying Man Coulter to come and give one of her stock speeches about how liberals are guilty of treason, how they hate America, how McCarthy is one of the greatest heroes our country has ever seen, and so on.

Let's save the "opposing viewpoints" and "respect for other views" malarkey for another day; this is a woman whose intrinsic purpose is to show disrespect for those who don't hold her amazingly absurd views by referring to them as traitors & treasonists. That's how she's made her millions and it's on that basis that she was even offered the cash for this speaking gig.

Mister Kareem Mohni must have been snorting some sort of illicit substance in the auditorium john for him to have called anything with Coulter involved a "respectful environment" with a straight face.

What was funny for me is that all of the other Social Work grads told her to just sit down and shut up, and it's not like they're fans of Mr. Watts, either.
I would imagine that Mr. Watts was at least giving an intelligent, measured speech, though, not spouting off inflammatory nonsense and calling people stupid traitors.

Don't get me wrong, normally I would agree with you that people should be respectful of someone who is giving a speech, even if they disagree with what's being said. But Ann Coulter invites exactly this kind of reaction by acting the same way herself. And she knows it, and she enjoys it. She has no right to expect the respect of any audience when she refuses to offer her audiences that same respect.

People don't have to be heard, necessarily. I hear a lot of people every day saying things that no one else needs -- or even wants -- to hear. I don't make the mistake of assuming that all opinions are meritorious & deserve dissemination. But the alternative is the problem: I don't under any circumstances want other individuals or bands of censorious thugs & busybodies deciding what I hear or don't hear. It's none of their damned business.

If I want to read a book or see a speech by Ann Coulter or Noam Chomsky or Gore Vidal or John Wayne, I will not allow Students Against Hate or Grandmas For Pornographic TV or any other busybody group to impinge on my prerogatives. I don't need babysitting. I've outgrown that need.

Stephanie Miller reported that they booed her all through the part of the speech she was able to get through and she finally quit.

Just a "sh*t doesn't stink liberal" coming in to clarify, "thinking that your sh*t doesn't stink" isn't a Liberal or a Conservative thing for that matter. It's just a human thing.

Ah, the voice of reason. I've missed you!

If she had a single real point to make I would listen but you pretty much covered her agenda above. What a waste of the students' money.

Her books sales must be lagging so she does something outrageous to get her mug in the news again.
I wonder if all the money is really worth the lengths she has to go to in order to exist in this world. Or maybe she really is just drunk all the time.

I was being sarcastic. My point is that there are some people who feel that all is not right with world unless they've given their opinon, and should probably learn the joys of just sitting down and shutting up every once in a while.

Ann doesn't strike me as an alkie. She seems more the cokehead type.
